I was looking at the thread on how to build a catch can and was wondering if anyone has utilized or have ideas on how to utilize lowes or home depot products to improve or mod your 3g

someone was telling me that you can use, ? i think it was some kind of roofing tar to undercoat you car or truck, that sounded appealing

sure you can do that, but it makes for a sloppy mess, and given that you can only get it in 5-gallon buckets (I'm pretty sure), and you can get spray on bed-liner, or rubberized undercoating in normal sized spray paint cans, and it works great, I'm all for spending the extra $10-15.

I made a vacuum canister from ABS courtesy of Lowes. You can also use it for carpeting if you're willing to invest the time to molding it right.

Intake piping has been done with PVC, and ultra ghetto is using aluminum dryer hose.

I have seen ppl use Fernco fittings for putting together their intake piping or turbo dump-tubes instead of high-temp silicone.

I used the drop ceiling lighting plastic to make custom clear corners on my hatch.

You can also use the egg-grate for drop ceilings (for the return plenum in the ceilings), and paint them with aluminum spray paint and use them in the grille.

Some idiots have used ABS or PVC to 'simulate' a roll-cage in their car. Thank God no 3G'ers have done that though.

you can use a garage door seal to make a lip that looks 10 times better then a garden edgeing lip

its all in how you bolt it up i actually used the push pins my self the ones the grab if i had to do it again i would bolt them up i would actually try to use a plastic bond of some sort and add brackets but it would have to be every few inches

hmmm, I'm hoping something like this will be easy since i plan on replacing my front bumper sometime in the next decade, its funny the front bumper is the highest body part on the car, i would like it to match up with the rear bumper lip
