i want to remove my cruise control. i want to know is it easy? and how do u do it? the cruise control doesnt work very well plus i never use it so i just want to remove it completely can someone pls help!

unplug the electrical connector, remove the vac.line to it , unhook the throttle cable to it, and unbolt the unit and pull it out.
Real easy to do.
You can the throttle cable in the eng compartment

If you wanna be hardcore you can remove the control box too, up underneath the driver's side dash.

why not fix it? it's a nice option to have,a lot of eighties cars didn't even have it available. i like cruise at night because i can set my speed and concentrate on driving and looking out for suicidal deer and insane truckers. It's easy to let your speed drop off at night because you don't have the usual subliminal clues from your eyes as to how fast you are going, plus the white line reflecting can play tricks with your brain as far as speed judgement. looking down at your speedo at night a lot can make you miss something important like the critter who just walked into the path of your car.

well im going for performance as well so ya i could remove the extra weight and i nvr use cruise control and whats a control box? sry im learning about cars so this forum is a really good tool for me
