new to this forum, this is my second accord in this style though. this is my 1989 honda accord EXi. fully loaded, 2.0 efi, auto. a/c works. it started with a box floppin around in the back, but that just wasnt cool, so i put in the "mini wall". then i noticed that with my baby seat in the back and the seat up, the bass kinda sucked, so i cut a ski hole into the seat back by the armrest, about the same size. after im finished making it all pretty, (if i ever am), ill post up more pictures. for now, heres the sub box/wall:

http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m142/amcinstaller/DSC00048.jpg

they are DEI audio extremes, run at 2 ohms on a planet audio 400 watt 2ch amp. the components in the front and coaxes in the rear are handled by a planet audio 200 watt 2 ch. the deck is a premier 600UB with usb and xm running.

next i decided that i wasnt happy with the stock hieght so i dropped it about 2-2.5 inches so now the body seams on the bottom are 5 inches off the ground. so here is the outside, kinda dirty at this point.

not bad for a daily driver, i think its pretty neat lookin, will be lots better when i fix the rust on the fenders and give it a splash of paint and rims.

Nice, but I rather used those money for body work and wheels instead, so car look more mint than it really is.

hehe, mint and my car didnt go in the same sentence. as well, this was all stuff i had laying around before i bought the car.

A nice set of rims would make that car stand out. Nice subs BTW

i would have just flipped the box around and went with a slot port design you would not have to even have your seat down and it would thunder

of all the ways i have tried in my car sub and port facing back sounded the best, have it firing against something aswell not into open boot space. worked for me

nice work mayne I know that isnt easy making that fit that nice good job.Not every1 wants to paint there cars first then risk scracthing it putting on the extra things.I had to face my subs same way when I pointed them the other way it sounded like my trunk was going to blow off.lol

thanks again, lots of replies! yea, i decided to face the subs forward this time mostly for looks and the fact that now i can still put stuff in the trunk (not much mind you) without havin to find grilles that would probly end up lookin gay. even though they are pointed ahead, with the rest of the trunk sealed from the main cab, the bass is incredible this way. im pullin as much sound as guys in other cars with more power. not a show winner by any means, but for practicality and daily use, does the job quite nicely. eventually i plan to carpet it and put in a panel to make it all flush with the "opening" that the box is up against. maybe a few lights and stuff, and if i go really crazy, bump up the power and upgrade. if i can just get my engine and trans figured, ill be good to roll. for now at least.

well i trick i figured out was to take a door lock actuator and connect it to the rear latch release and then wire it to the acc on your alarm it will alow you to pop you rear set with out a key or going through your trunk you can attach some springs on the corners and make it pop open if you wanna go a lil further

The LX-i hatchback has a 50/50 Split fold down seat :) comes in handy when hauling stuff

You go fuxxin hard man! My dad's friend from work's PT-loser has like a G worth of Audio in it, and you can hear it from like 2 blocks away. I think I'd be happy with some new mids, subs, and tweeters in replacement of my stock speakers, to go along with mah Alpine headunit.. the thing's old as shit, but it is very well-made. I love the sound-distribution on it. Even on the stock LX-i system, it's still crisp and clear sound, when it goes boom-boom. But if you need enough bass to turn your back-seats into "personal shiatsu messager's".. KUDOS. :werd:
