Got another 3 gee

My old man bought this 3 gee a few months ago and he never got around to working on it so the other day he told me I could have it. So when I get some money I hope to get her on the road it needs some body work... Right now only workin at dairy queen lol not many hours so little money but in july i'm headin back to where i worked last summer 48 hours a week so i'll be able to work at it. Ill try in keep this updated.

do you have smog checks or emissions checks he means so you can get rid of all the vacuum lines and smog control crap to make the car peppy-er and look better

Today I went to a junkyard where a guy down the street from me works, he took me around to all the accords I came across an 88 or 89 coupe ex-i he is gonna check and find out what I could get the whole car for. If i get this I plan on swappin the engine into my 89 coupe.

I started a lil bit of body work on my hatch i'm gonna tryin get it fixed up enough to pass saftey inspection i needa throw on an exhaust to. so if i get that done i'll be able to drive it while swappin my coupe from carb to efi.

I just got a ? the car from the junk yard is auto if i swap the motor from that into my car with a 5 speed will i need to get an ecu from a efi 5 speed as well?

Still havent herd back on a price from the junk yard for the car with the efi.... But i got a lead on another car with a fuel injected engine so i been tryin to contact them...

Just thought i'd post these pics of my first parts car that i used to swap my coupe from auto to 5 speed. I also used the dash from this car in my coupe and the front bumper cuz it was black. I'm gonna pull the engine out and take the fuel tank off then she will be going for scrap.

well i went to work today got out my car realized the keys were locked in... got off work my dad stopped in we tried to get it open with coat hangers no luck messed with it for in an hour. Luckly the stuff i bought off import racer on sunday came with 2 sets of back windows. my buddy was walkin by he was drunk he was like just smash the f***ing window lol so i told him to he punches it six times no way so then he gets a rock and throws it threw the window. What a mess. I'll probably put in the rear tinted windows i got from import racer tomorrow. ill post some pics with them in.

Um I dont think so the key from my coupe ive tried in my hatch and it will only turn part way and you have to wigle it back and forth to get it to turn that far but it wont un lock it.

My hatch is already a 5 speed, and I all ready did the 5 speed swap on my coupe there is thread. But when ever I get my other parts car with the efi motor I'll post pics of the swap.

Its not any key that will work... i brought my key to FL, and went to a parts n pull salvage place. It only opened 86/87s. Not sure why. I also tried it on that flat-black 89 EX-i, and it was a no-go. Not sure how it works, though.

Anyway havent been on in awhile to update stufff... but as of now i been with out a car to drive for a few weeks. my 89 coupe well someone hit me in a parking lot and screwed up my front bumper and shit but i was still drivin it that way til something happened and the engine started acting up havent really had time to figure out whats up with that....

Now the 87 hatch i should of been driving by now but sadly not i took it in for saftey inspection it was alll good except for a few spots on the floor needed to be welded up. its at a guys place to get done but he been away hunting the past week so hopefully this week he gets her done so ill have some wheels to roll around in.

i paid $230 the parts i gout with it was worth that. it came with clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, break pads, shoes, fuel filter, and some other stuff all brand new sill in the box.

not sure if im gonna swap the engine out into my coupe or just leave it in and fix up the body on it.

So i bought the exi the other night but i couldnt get it towed home til today. anyway when i looked at the car i couldnt hear it run cuz buddy said it wasnt gettin its fuel. He said they hadn't drove it for 3 years but he started it up once in awhile... i guess last going off he said that sometimes it would start right up and sometimes it wouldnt but then he'd try it 15 minutes later and it would. I havent had time to tryin get it running but i was thinkin maybe the ground wire for the fuel pump? idk... any ideas what else i could check thanks.

hey bud i live right outside of moncton new brunswick any other 3geez around you for a little meet in halifax sometime i know a really good place around truro. also i seen that car and thought about buying it myself but i only have a hatch so not many uses to me. any interest in selling the new clutch mines 23 years old and just starting to slip lately. hit me up cant believe finally found someone close with a 3 gee lol nice hatch and the coupe looks good too

its ok the floor looks pretty solid um the back wheel wells are gettin bad and the piece under the bumper is gettin bad but its better then most of the ones ive seen. ill post some pics later

mine wont let me lock my keys in....first, it beeps at me, then when i hit the locks, the driver door wont go down all the way when the doors open, you have to lock it form the outside....so how did u do that?!

my exi i just bought has power locks and does the same as yours so you must have power locks right. and the coupe i locked them in had normal locks so that is how i locked them in.
