curious as to how to find TDC so I can find the timing marks on the flywheel. I don't know how to manually turn over the engine to find the mark....

Turn the crank pulley (it's the lowest pulley) counter clockwise with the spark plugs off (it's easier). Or use a remote start or have someone crank the engine.
Oh, take off the distributor cap 1st.
Cranking or turning the pulley to get the distributor rotor near or around the #1 (check with the distributor cap)
That should be near TDC.

Use a 17mm socket and turn the crank bolt. There is an access hole on the drivers side where you can fit a socket through.

if you have your front wheel off the ground , put it in 4 th gear , ask someone to turn the wheel for you while you are looking for the marks ! :D this way you can make sure if timing is ok with out removing the lower timing cover to turn the crank ! only the upper cover ! :)

You don't have to remove the lower cover to turn the crank. You can do it with the car on the ground. You just have to crank the wheel all the way to the left to make room and use an extension and 17mm socket.
