Honda MTF 2 or 3 ONLY. You can damage tranny by using non Honda oil.
And if rebuild trany you'll need aprox. 3L. non rebuild 2.5L. or fill to filler cup, till it starts to sip out. Simple as that.

Now, I can give you a tips, how to fill Oil in to trenny where its not much space, you take funnel and hose from somthn like washing machine water hose and use it as extension to funnel.

You won't damage the transmission using regular 10w30 motor oil or synchromesh. Its recommended to use Honda though.

I'm sure the Honda dealership has it. Acura if Honda's not around you. Or just use 10w-30. I used regular oil for years, but detected a slight (really slight) notchiness? going into 3rd. I switched to the Honda oil and it went away, but it was a subtle thing and maybe my mind wanted it to disappear. Whatever.

GM Syncromesh FM fluid is the best but honda MTF is a close second. MTF is cheaper, and if you dont have a notchy feeling trans or any kind of syncro problem you should prolly just use the mtf. Any tranny ive used GM Syncromesh FM in felt smoother and less notchy after about 500 miles using it. Ive used it in my accord and my TL, and the TL ive used it for about 80000 miles soo far. Works great!

I always use Caltex/Chevron - delo 500/Gold diesel engine oil - its absolutely perfect for our trannys - doesnt foam up, no grinding and is also recommended for hydraulic pumps.

p.s. Im also using this stuff in my PS and its working absolutely sweet for the past 5 years now.
