b20a, automatic, gearbox has issues it doesnt have a 4th gear, reverse only works now and again as does 1st. Motor appears to run fine, but theres milk under the oil cap so maybe it needs a head gasket.

I dont know what im going to do with it currently. The plates are live and the rego is on hold. Ill either get a new gearbox, steal its bootlid for my car and put mine on it and sell it or park it up and rape parts off it

My mind is made up, the exclusive is stripped and the interiors going into the 1st car. the exclusive has so must rust its not funny

i think ill put the good auto box on the gold top and keep the blacktop as a spare engine

i have been hard at work, i have changed all the leather interior into the car and removed the gay brown interior. I have also swapped the other car from its old heater to the climate control system (changed the heater boxes while the dash was out)

Its nearly done the dash is just sitting in there at the moment. heres some pics...

this is the little pre facelift lip you can get factory besides the other bigger lip that says honda

also your good with auto boxes.... why is it when cruising at 100km/h on the flat open road it feels like its constantly changing gears changing from 3000rpm to 32000rpm. sounds like the torque converter is locking up but then unlocking again. Could that be due to the kick down cable ajustment or a fucked torque converter?

The other auto box has no 4th gear and 1st and reverse sometimes dont work, is this box related or torque converter? i need to make one good torque converter/auto box combo for the exclusve i am building

one of my bump strips has a big gouge in it an d another one has a bend in it that wont come out, had a wee hit in the door before i bought it and the plastic has kept the bend.

as for the trans prob, i would check the kickdown cable first aswell as the fluid level.
could pos be the lock up clutch getting worn but that would slip instead of going on/off
could be a solenoid control prob, if you have a spare set of solenoids and the control box, swap them over and try that.

the other one am not to sure of, might be sticky valves in the body .
duz it give a quick click or a slow grind going into reverse or first?
a grind is bad and points to clutches or a slow valve, a quick clicky grindy noise is normal as you will know. but could also be a fluid condition or pressure prob aswell.
thats why i threw my auto out when it shit itself.

lol autos are so gay, putting it into reverse grinds a bit but what honda doesnt same when you put it into park from reverse or 1st it will make a grinding noise

while the engine was out i also put a new cambelt and water pump on for added reliability.

took this for a warrant of fitness today, it failed on some dodgy bog work a previous owner did where he should have welded. also a high stop light, rear brake pads, headlight aim and exhaust leak between the manifold and downpipe. and aparently one of my tires are due soon. im going to go get this fixed up asap so it can get on the road!
