its pretty simple. pull the steering wheel off the car(BE SURE THE WHEEL IS LOCKED AND STRAIGHT), fit the only part that has a hole in the middle for it, then you take the quick release apart, fit the back half onto the hub, and the other half to the steering wheel and DONE!!! hardest part is getting the stock steering wheel off.

One of these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Steering-Wheel-Adapter-Kit-Nardi-MOMO-12mm-Aluminum_W0QQitemZ230360628704QQcmdZViewItemQQptZM otors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item35a2903 de0&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245) will adapt 70mm to 73mm hole spacing, or 73 to 70. But if the quick release is different from both your hub and your wheel, and neither of them have dual hole patterns, you'd have to buy two adapters. At that point I'd just get another quick release with the right hole spacing
