first one is that my 89 coupe lxi 5spd has a delayed start... takes a good 4 seconds of cranking to kick over... any ideas? im leaning toward a new fpr but i could be wrong.... second.. is it possible to have the front suspension tophats flipped upside down? the top of my shocks seem sunk in and i have reason to suspect they have been messed with... any input would help.. thanks in advance!

i would say that all 3gezz have a 2-4 sec delay in starting lol all 3 of the ones i had did

im sure you could flip them but it would be a hell of a lot fn work to fuck that up lol

if you think yours are, take a pic and we will let you know
but you would def have to drill the bolts out or hammer them out to do so

and an off topic question... my moms 89 civic D15b2 had a trans swap... and the auto only had 1 shift solenoid... the one they got it swapped with has 2 solenoids... which one do i connect? right now the bottom one is connected... what would happen if i connected the upper one? or BOTH?

I am pretty sure that is fuel injected. Look in the upper left hand corner, you see the intake pipe and throttle body. Follow that towards the right and look back you will see the runners. You can also see the top of the FPR.

Your car should start right up BANG. Does it always take the exact same amount of time, or is the time getting longer?

most of the time it starts with less then 2 revolutions of the engine... and other times it takes like 3-5 seconds to crank over... im thinking the fpr isnt holding pressure..

That's an ES3 engine from the 1985 Accord SE-i in that picture. Yes, it's fuel injected.

Test your coil out for the starting issue. or if you have a spare try swapping it, they dont aways test bad. Better yet get a blaster at part store for like $40

2x here mine all start at 2 cranks

is it possible to put the ES3 intake on the A20? the ES3 looks pretty simple and thats all i want in an intake manifold... nothing too crazy
