Ok guys if you currently have a turboed 3G or are nearing completion of a 3G turbo build, post up. Im curious as to whos still going with their cars. Some of you guys remember my Topmount manifold build with the SC6152S and built motor... Well ive currently kicked into high gear in order to make progress and get it done and running. Soo far the build consists of:

Topmount manifold w/Precision SC6152S (630hp+ capable)
Tial 38mm ext wg
3" downpipe to stock exhaust with 3" E cutout
2.5" Charge piping
AEBS Polished B16A/B18C5 Intake Manifold with ITR Throttle body
1g DSM BOV
Solid motor mounts
OBD1 conversion with adapter kit
3 Bar map sensor
3 row halfsize civic type radiator with slimfan
880cc Precision turbo injectors
255lph walbro intank fuelpump
JRC 8" FMIC
Adjustable Cam Gear
Race ported head with SI industries valves/springs/retainers
Stock head gasket
ARP Head studs
Eagle H Beam Rods
Diamond forged pistons
Toga Hi Volume oil pump
Tuner Toys Stainless braided oil lines and fittings
No AC or PS
Clutchnet 6 puck sprung clutch kit with double spring steel pp

Currently im finishing the charge piping, fmic and radiator mounts, next i have to finish the obd1 conversion and do the finishing touches (battery relocation and painting brackets etc) and its nearly finished!!

Post up, im curious to see who still has turbo builds and who is still running turboed accords.

Whatsup man! I am still not done I need some more fab work, but it's SO FUCKING CLOSE! Literally need the exhaust system from the head back to the muffler completed, but other than that and tapping the oil pan I have literally everything I need. But I am taking my time and going to hopefully build a bitchin manifold that will allow me to retain the stock crossmember and not have to hack shit up too much.

Glad to see you are still with it. I'll keep you in the loop when I have some interesting updates. :D If you haven't been keeping up on my car there are a few new pics in the build thread since the last time I remember seeing you on here.

Rendon is definitely kicking ass though, he is really moving right along and making some killer progress fast!

I just got my 2nd setup going. SO MUCH NICER LOL....T25 for kids and Tim took the cake on that....Im currently running 8 and it feels like 12...i could pull the timing alittle but its good...OBD1 is a forsure thing....going to get all the crap at once no bs'ing or playing...

all i have is

You guys are doing quite a great job in your cars. IŽll be starting my own thread soon. I was having some issues with my first turbo setup which was kind of simple, not so seriuous are rendonŽs, accordepicenter, or tdurr, just to mention a few.

But IŽm working now on a new mani, clutch kit, charge pipes and finishing removing some old stuffs, i.e. the A/C.

IŽll probably get u guys some pics of my current setup before starting my thread

I finally got my car running and managed 333 whp or so with 300tq with a slipping clutch. Ive maxed out my intercooler and keep breaking the front mount.

sounds incredibly close to my setup only Im running the jdm b20a. Same intake, TB, internals, turbo, intercooler but im only running 550 injectors. I havent tuned mine yet but when I do getr it tuned Ill let everyone know. I think its going to be a while

i believe he was referring to b16/b18 civic/teggy engine as all the manifolds and etc is made for them

but since the A20 has closed cast iron deck it can hold allot of boost :cheers:

I still have 90% of my turbo B20A kicking around and in the mist of rebuilding it. I definately have the itch after seeing Guaynabo89's car at Import Alliance. Its been slow going for me because i have been paying down my debts so i can buy a house and settle down a bit. But i plan to build the block this winter and see where im at in the spring but i forsee a running B20A Turbo by next summer.

b20a is closed deck so its all good. just not cast iron so the a20 should have an advantage

Plans for me is to get half the parts for my block laying in the garage. rods,pistons, bearings....then ill get the block hot tanked....from there ill have the bottom end done.....whats going to cost me is the head. LOL

Just throwing it out there, but a buddy of mine stimulated my brain with a suggestion; Propane Drawthrough. 110 octane, the propane keeps the spool cooler than gas, and it seems like it will last a lot longer than gas turbo, plus, it's $2.29 a gallon and I guess you get about the same milage. Anyone done it?

Another plus is that I still have the A1 manifold, so all I gotta do is seal my plugged vacuum lines and build a plate? I can get a turbo off a 2.0l something (don't remember what from) with a wastegate and oil lines ready to hook up for $50, then I could probably find everything else to make it run for under $5-600.

Only thing is, though. I got probably 110,000 miles on this A3 block and I think I can hear a wristpin again...

Im going to be installing the turbo mani again on the engine this weekend after I install the new front cross member. I ned to find a fabricator to make the charge pipes and exhaust. Im probably just going to let the tuner do it since he owns a shop locally. Other then that just the add ons like wideband and tunerview. The lsd is installed and everything is good to go. Log onto aim every now and again so i can chat with you some more.

no Im running crome and need to get the tunerview. I may change to neptune. i need to do some more reading to see whats added on since i last thought about it. My big options are data logging (obviously), boost control with timing control, FTL, ability to display multiple ststa on a single device or gauge, possible wideband through the stock wiring? Not sure if some of these are even possible

Sorry guys not much progress on my build but i bought a bunch of stuff not related to my turbo build but for the accord.

I am how ever having a new turbo manifold built at the moment by a pretty decent shop. I will post some pictures when its done hopefully in a few weeks. I did get a slick traction bar setup but i need to get my car on a lift to fit it up and get it painted so i can use it.

Very similar to my old one but this one is angled down more and made of SS. Here is what it should look like:

I was going to do a shorty style but the wastegate placement is an issue along with the ramhorn. Otherwise i would have done the ramhorn or shorty.

Bra, you do not even want to know. There's base maps, even an area where it helps you create a base map, or even it takes a stock map you you set the injectors, tell it you are adding boost and it will adjust fuel and timing for base map... the shit is hot.

There is a section where you can load a tuned map.

I am glad i got the neptune.

I am having it made by a fab shop i was going to have it done by a local friend but he is to slow and these guys seem to do decent work and they have reduced rates so i will see how it works out. I need to stash some money and get my block machined but i keep finding stuff and i have been dropping a lot into my work van as well.

I will post more as i move forward.

Thats the most basic answer Ive read about the difference between the 2 and by far the most informative. That alone will make me switch. If you get a chance to hope on aim or msn let me know id like to pick your brain some more. Im a good ready but without doing it Im not much of an understanding type thanks man

Skunk2 B-16a IM redrilled for the A20a3 head
B18 rods (not sure B18a,b, or c)
K20 pistons
