Hey guys been a while since i posted i have a 95 civic with the 1.6l vtec and i am trying to see if it came with it original as the si's did but this car has no si sticker so can anyone point me in the right direction here or a civic web site?

oh my 06 accord se has 60k now and i still love it ,which with the mileage it is about time to mod it!!

currently have a k&n air filter can only do 16 in the quarter though so what to do....

Do you know what trim model it is? As far as I know only Si's and EX-V models came with v-tec motors from the factory in that generation of civic.

Also, can you see what engine code is on the engine block? will be just to the left of the exhaust manifold mid-way up on the block... this will help determine if it is original.

if its a 1.6 vtec and its a hatch, its an SI. If its a coupe or sedan, its an EX.

Yeah, but I think they have a bigger engine. That comes to mind for some reason. I'm probably wrong, though.

The Si coupe was Canadian, same car as the US EX coupe. US Si was the same motor but in a hatch. DX and LX were 1.5 liters I do believe. There's prolly VX and EX and CX too or some shit.

Either way, the 1.6VTAX was only in the EX models or Si hatch.

CX, DX, & VX = D15Bwhatever
EX coupe + Si hatch = D16Z6

Got the VIN handy?
