I spied this beauty at Target today. It looks like the Phoenix Red with black interior we were discussing in another thread. It's a DX...with leather. Wow! What a rare car indeed. I've never seen it on here, so I left a note inviting the owner to join the party up in here.

Hope everyone is doing well.

DX with black leather door inserts? I hope they show up here so I can find out wtf that is and how much they'll sell the interior for.

No way, Joay. I called dibs. That would be sweet if they got the interior from an SE-i.

I saw a coupe at pick n pull one day with an interior similar to that, it was actually vinyl inserts on the doors, and cloth seats... now correct me if I'm wrong please, but from your pics, the headrests look to be cloth not leather?

Either way, great looking car... And looks a little pink to me too, I imagine it is just the colour balance being off a bit in the camera.

wow. I agree on the color looking like it's a little pink~ish. Very clean though, and nice choice of understated wheels.

Those look like SE-i door panels (or at least the leather/vinyl part). Very nice. Makes me miss mine. I should have never let it die the way it did.

You found me my dream car :( I wish that too snooz, but it looks like an auto to me tho, and its a carb.. so to get it right it needs a little work done to it.

I do believe you are right. The seats were covered with sheepskin, so I just assumed. It definitely could be vinyl.

The car was Phoenix red and the paint was in very, very good shape. I wonder if the blue sky reflecting off the paint makes it look pink. Anyway, it's for sure no Mary Kay car.

Watch it! Mine looks about like that an I am 44. I guess that makes me an "older dude." I still like to get it up around 6K RPM to keep the carbon deposits down.

That has to be leather interior, good spot. too bad the car has been repainted. (look closely at the antenna mount)

What about the antenna mount makes the car repainted?

x2

i paint for a living and see nothing obvious.

I see a slight white line, that could be wax build up, dirt, grime, etc.

The car looks pink to me as well, nothing some light rubbing compound and a good wax wouldnt take care of though. Red vehicles ALWAYS fade.

Still super clean, makes me want to find one for myself!
