Alright, so Here's my '88 Accord DX Hatchback, bought it for $600..

For starters: Bad C/V Joints, High Idle, Non-working Speedometer(odometer doesnt work either), and it leaks oil( i think and hope its just from the valve cover gasket)

For one, upload the pictures to either Photobucket, or to TinyPic (both .com) instead of Facebook, which no one has: you have to be logged in to 'see' the pictures, if they're even working when someone is logged in. That will help you quite a bit. I would recommend TinyPic if you're not going to upload a lot of pictures; Photobucket if you are. Personally, I prefer TinyPic. Less hassle.

Try here (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=How+to+post+pictures+on+a+forum).

Just kidding. God, I love that website.

HAHAHA love the basketball goal floorboard. That car has a SHIT TON of rust man... 600 bucks, eh. For a running car, not bad. Be careful, you could fall through the floor at any minute.

...yeah... but i dont know much about body work.. im hoping my step dad can help me re-construct those fenders... but im wondering if its worth it.. its pretty rusty... as sad as it sounds, i may just have to keep it as is until i can afford another car..

I plan/planned on doing a "Panda Trueno" look since this car bears an uncanny resemblance to the Toyota Sprinter Trueno. And happens to look amazing with that paint scheme.

you can get replacement aftermarket rear fenders for a coupe/hatch. They're inexpensive.

You'll have to cut the old panel and weld or glue in the new one.

Check out this site

That's...horrible. This is all the rust I have on my entire car (including having none on the first coupe), and I though it was pretty bad:

wow that rust scares me :nervous: IMO i would not try to save it and start with a different one (the interior is definitely salvageable) but thats only because i suck at body work. Broken engine and drivetrain? no problem. Rust in the body? cant do it myself and don't have the money to pay someone.

lmao yeaah its scares me too

but the interior is great, the only thing wrong with the entire interior of my DX is a tear in the driver seat and a tear in the vinyl of the driver side door. if i am going to get rid of it, I'll gladly part out the interior here

aslo Jfern, do you know anyting about fixing high idle on a carburated Accord?

not offhand, i have never messed with carbed hondas, but i did use to tune old detroit iron cars, high idle could be caused by a couple of things (the way we would fix is it to double check timing and mixture screws to make sure its kosher) also make sure there are no vacuum leaks anywhere i think your question would be better suited for someone more experienced with honda carbs though....

i realy like the upolstry on the seats. the two tone is sexxxy. but i dont think it was worth it. $600 is alot of money for all this rust and problems i think you should take your loses.

man that car is jack up man probably better getting another and sell it for parts i call dibs on the hood plastic trim the one on my 3gee is crack. well and if you do plan on fixing it its gonna cost you alot of money. better getting a fuel injection much easier without all them hoses and its much better to work on

sorry for your 3gee man

good point. injection is way easyer to work on. but if its idleing like that just tap the gas it should simmer down. both of my 3gees ar carborator and i have the same problem. but in all seriousness that car is F***ed
