What's up guys, I have a chance to buy this 2 door for $400, but I'm having reservations because of the price I got my last two 3rd gens for. I love the look of the 2 doors and it's fairly straight but like all cheap 3rd gens it's going to need work and also I've found an 85 hatch for $300 and 2 89 4 doors for $200. Here is what I was told about the 2 door:

The motor uses oil and is running a little rough now but the automatic trns works fine and the body is ok except a small dent on the rt front fender and the windshield has a crack in it.

Here's the pics I was sent:

Thanks for the input Civic, I'm wanting pretty bad first 2 door I've found around here. I'm concered about the auto trans though, always seem to go out on me. I have the 88 lxi parts car from my carbed to fi conversion, I'm hoping the 5 spd swap will be fairly simple. I'm going to search the forum to see.

It's a little rumpled. If it doesn't run well, then I'm not sure what you're buying beyond a parts car. Maybe you're just looking for something to tide you over till you can afford something better, in which case it's fine. If you're looking to make it nice and keep it, then you have a lot of money to spend on that one. Body work is always crushingly expensive. Interior is nice though.

Around here $400 for a running Accord of any condition is a steal, but I guess they're cheap wherever you are. I was all about it until you said 'automatic' and Snooz rightly pointed out it's kinda beat. I'd personally jump all over it for that price, but one of those 89s might be a better investment.

I hear ya Joay, automatic=:barf:

For me anyway, some people love I guess, I've never had nothing but problems with them and the 5spds are fairly simple to tear into and fix when a gear goes out. I've got the front end parts from the white car I stripped out, but I noticed the rear trunk lights are different and the one on the 2dr is busted.
