lots of squeaks and shimmys

My 88 LXI has an eternal squeak and i cant seem to isolate it to the front or rear. it makes the sound when i put my foot on the break and also when i take it off. it is a quick squeak and will also happen when i go over bumps. also when i go to stop the car the breaks shimmy a lot. is this because of warped rotors? the pads have plenty of life on them.

Replace your suspension bushing

you can sort of isolate squeaky bushes by pushing on one corner of the car at a time and listening for the squeak.
the front uca bushes are the easiest to replace along with the sway bar bushes.

check out the brake pads,maybe you need some of that anti squeak stuff on the back of em.
