Hi everyone, this is my ride, i had tried for years to get a good suspension and spring so that i could lower it and make it more stable, but failed.

Any recommendation?

OMG!!! It's the first JDM PGM-FI 2gee on the board!! w00t! I love how the driver and passenger seats are different! Is that pattern in the door panels and seats stock? Do you have any engine pics? I want to know everything about your car!!! Man I love that black wheel and dashboard! Nice car man!!

As for springs, you don't have a lot of options... There is Spax Springs in England who makes them still for the 2g Accord. And there is King Springs, who have a listing for the 2g Accord, but we had one member on here buy the King Springs and he wound up getting 3g Accord springs.

ST Suspension used to make springs, and so did Eibach. I've got the Eibach Pro Kits on my car. The only options you really have are to try and fab up some custom parts. You could buy some cheap coilovers and see if the sleeves will fit. I've got a hunch that the 5g and 6g coilover sleeves might work... but nobody has tried yet. There are some members from Malaysia who also have fabbed S13 Nissan suspension into their cars as well.

Anyways, good luck on your quest and keep us updated on your car! It's cool to see such a rare Accord show up here! Oh and :welcome:

yes, the interior is stock, i know, this model is very rare as i don really see another same unit on the road near my place, most are 1.6 carb, and only got 2 front disc brake, guess what, stock paint as well, only got some minor touch out which small accidents, served my family for 21 years, and i am the forth owner, been driving it for 8 years.

problem with the car now, problem with sun roof, i seal it off with silicone, and cruise control don works anymore, power steering leaking slightly.

for the engine, is also stock, old and dirty though, will snap some photo and upload later.

Wait a minute, hold the phone, I can't believe what I'm seeing!!!! That is AWESOME!!! Like 2ndGenGuy, I want to know everything about your car!!! I love 2 gees in white, I think that's why I miss my 84 so much. If it's PGM-Fi, that means ES3 like mine correct? The seats are awesome, they look like Prelude seats, and where can I get some of those PGM-Fi decals?? Please show us a shot of the front, I want to see the JDM headlight goodness. Even though you say it has some problems now, DON'T EVER GET RID OF THAT CAR!!! Fix it and hang on to it, it's a rare dog, even more so than my SE-i. The GT-i trim designation is strange though, I never knew Honda used it on anything. I always thought GT-i was a Volkswagen trim designation.

It's not an ES3. It definitely is an ES designation. I've got a catalog. That car has a 130hp ES motor. I am pretty sure the designation is just "ES" with no number. I'd love to see a picture of the engine code tag off the radiator support, if there is one on the JDM cars.

I've got the Japanese catalog for the 2g Accord. Been meaning to scan it for a while now, but my friend has my scanner. Here's a quick taste of it I took with the built in camera on my computer. Sorry they suck, high-res scans soon!

It's all in Japanese, but here are some of the JDM features I've seen:

Power Folding Mirrors
Factory Ducktail Spoiler
130hp PGM-FI 1800 motor (More power than A20, ha!)
110hp Carb'd 1800
94hp Carb'd 1600
Adjustable shoulder belts
Unique seats for driver and passenger, heavier bolsters to hold driver in.
4 Wheel ABS
Rear Disc Brakes
Digital Dashboard

What I don't see in the JDM catalog is any mention of the trip computer / fuel mileage calculator. I know they are out there for the 2gee, just not sure exactly what they came in...

One day, I'm going to find a red RT-i Hatchback, with that fucking hot red on black interior and bring one to the US... one day I will!

OK, where on earth did you get that catalog??? I want one. So the ducktail spoiler is hatchback only right? If they have one for the 4dr, I want it! I want rear discs too. And I want the PGM-Fi decals. So 130hp with PGM-Fi, not fair. I wonder where they get the extra power from or what exactly is different from their engine to mine. I agree, it's got to be an ES of some sort but of what sort I must know. Now I assume the 1800 carb'd is probably dual carb like the Prelude. Even their 1600 carb'd which I assume is single carb, has more power than our ES2 1800. Do they not paint the bumpers over in Japan? It looks like all of those cars have black bumpers. Kinda strange. All of the trim designations are strange too, I thought they used designations more similar to ours, but maybe that's just on the newer Hondas. Does the GTL-i have leather? I either want a white GT-i or GTL-i saloon.

sorry for the dirty engine bay, 2ndGenGuy and 85SE-i, here is my engine bay photo and all the information that you guys requested for.

2ndGenGuy: from the catalog that you had, I think this one is the GT-i model, which is correct, I guess the spec would be very similar to SE-I in US, but mine one, not digital dashboard, yes 4 disc brake, but not sure about the ABS, how to check?

2 days back, someone borrow the car and had a minor accident, maybe she don't know how to drive, and it hit one of my house pillar and broke the signal lamp, the chrome lining, and the bumper is out of shape.

Guess what, it happened in front of me, while I and my 2 years old son watching it, oh well, kinda pissed, but she my sister in law, had to get everything back original.

http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/2024/dsc4702.jpg (http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc4702.jpg)

close to 290,000 KM in odometer, not even overhaul yet, is this a must anyway? i know the fuel consumption is bad, but its not cheap.

http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/3820/dsc4720.jpg (http://img198.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc4720.jpg)

what do you called this thing? something like the engine mount, that hold the bumper, its bent.

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/453/dsc4721x.jpg (http://img6.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc4721x.jpg)

85SE-i, here is the front view of the JDM headlight you requested for, but the right one is not original anymore, this unit is Taiwanese made, because I can't find the original in the whole city, spare parts shops, junk yards, recond shops etc, and i give up, because I got no transport and can't wait any longer.

Wow, thanks for all of the info. That engine bay is not that dirty, believe me, mine is much worse. Your engine bay looks exactly the same as my SE-i, so it makes me wonder even more what exactly is different between the two and where the extra power comes from.

As far as the ABS, you will want to look for the modulator unit with a whole bunch of metal lines coming out of it. Since no 2g Accords came with ABS in the US, I have no idea where it would be or what it looks like. There was a guy on here from England that had one with ABS. Maybe he will see this and shed some light for us.

290,000 km is not that much. It's only about 180,000 miles. Just for reference, my SE-i has 285,000 miles and if I remember correctly I think 2ndGenGuy's has like 310,000 miles on it. So in km, mine would be 458,000 km and 2ndGenGuy's would be 498,000 km.

You are correct on the chassis and engine codes. It's kinda funny to think about how cars like yours and mine were built side by side in the same factory over in Japan. They sure did turn out different though.

The bent bracket for your bumper I believe is referred to by Honda as a gusset. There is a left gusset and a right gusset.

Thanks for the shot of the headlights. I want those so bad for my car. They look so much better than ours. I wouldn't even care if they weren't OEM, aftermarket would be fine by me just as long as I had them.

I have a set of the headlights. Problem is, you need the JDM header panel to make them fit, and the grille or be prepared to do some metal work to yours to make them fit. The difference is so slight, but it's there enough to make the headlights completely incompatible.

Also remember the JDM lights are for RHD cars. So they have a different beam pattern. Best thing to do would be to source some headlights from a European country where they are LHD.

See this thread for my attempted JDM headlight conversion: http://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68311

Yeah, I remember reading that now. Well, I guess that's out. I don't really want to hack up my car to make them fit. It's kinda disappointing because the JDM headlights bolted right into my Prelude, no fuss at all. It took some getting used to the beam pattern and people flash hi-beams at me more often now. But since they look so cool, I don't mind it that much.

AhPunk, I do not believe you have ABS. I found the pic of John Sweeney's euro Accord that I was talking about earlier and you can clearly see where the ABS modulator is. It is the blue cap right next to the fuse block. You should also have an ALB light come on when you first turn the key on.

yeap of coz, my machine don have the ABS, and I don't really expect it to have, because I never get it repaired before.

As for the mileage, considering I live in a medium size city with no highway, all is city drives, and from my home to work place, just around 15km, but it's gonna took me 30-45mins, to you can imagine the wear and tear condition higher as compared with the states, agree?

as for my current accident, I couldn't get the original new side signal lamp and the chrome lining. I got the Taiwan made, low quality. I gonna dig out in junk yard sometime later for the original when I am free.

I also wish to replace the front bumper, anyone replaced it with the Taiwan made before? :ugh:

When you put your new front bumper on, you should paint the bottom of it white to match your car. It makes the car look so much nicer! A member here, had a hatch with black bumpers, and he painted the bottom part of the bumpers like the USDM LX model. It really brought the looks of the car up quite a bit! Your car would look amazing!

Okay Messy. I'm gonna build my B20A with big carbs, you build yours with fuel injection. We'll see whose is more powerful! The race is on! :) I'll drive down and we'll do our dyno runs on the same dyno, the same day so we have no weird variables! It will be sweet! :D
