Does anyone have suggestions on the brand of new oil pump. Should it be replaced with OEM or is aftermarket okay ? Need to know if the oil control Valve A/K/A Oil Control Oriface needs to be changed out when rebuilding the engine.

I used a high volume oil pump from Toga for my rebuild. It cost about the same as an OEM pump so I thought I would try it. But an OEM pump would be fine too.

I used a Toga as well. http://www.importperformanceparts.net/ has them for around $100. Pretty much the same as an OEM with tighter tolerances.

The spring for the pressure regulator should be replaced or measured for the correct length. It is located in the oil receiver, behind the hex bolt.

The oil control jet is located between the block and head. It doesn't need to be replaced, just thoroughly cleaned and reinstalled with a new o-ring. Some like to slightly enlarge the center hole, but I don't believe it to be necessary for most builds.
