what about an B18a from an honda/acura Integra ? or a black top B20a, gold top cams & ECU to build an Gold top. Im confused on all the different B20 motors.

thanks.

Can't do it. B20A won't fit.

Ask Carotman about getting yourself a Goldtop, as he can probably get them the cheapest for you from Canada. Or you can do what I did and talk to AccordB20A or 3gcvc and get them to ship from NZ, but that shipping is KILLER$$$$

You won't find the right B20A listed online anywhere. Read www.B20A.org for the info on which motors are which.

haha i think he is being sarcastic cause he wants to the the only 2g with a b20a

you may find a b20a in the USA but it will be autofailgaymatic and thats just a waste of time and money buying it. but if you have $1500US to spare we can source one in 5 speed and ship it out.

is that with the harness & ecu ? 1500 + shipping = ouch :( I only got about 1700 to spare.

with that much you could rebuilt your current motor and put some sick ass carbs

if you plan on the boost then go with the a20a ^_^ its been said about 200 times in the past couple weeks that the a20a is best for boost while the b20a is best for N/A

How can a sohc be better than a dohc engine.

A18A

i believe they're stronger engines & parts for them are more readily available

yeah last time we had a guy that only made like 200whp on a b20...and ericw made like 240whp on a a20a1 stock

stock A20 with how much boost ? boost on the b20 or not ? mines not going to be a drag car. I might go with an A20a3/4 if its better for boost. but the b20 has 40+hp & 15+tq to start.

A20A3 and A20A4

Doesn't really seem to matter what motor you start with, the result typically tends to be the same when you turbo. B20A is a huge pain in the ass to build and get parts for. If you're going turbo, do an A20. Then if you blow something you can get parts easily. For all the extra time and hassle of dealing with a B20A, putting a turbo on it just isn't worth it. I mean, it's cool as fuck, and I'd love to turbo the B20A but it takes some serious dedication. It takes a lot of dedication just to do anything with that damn motor...

I think there was one in Montreal (goldtop manual)

I'll have to check the engine importers. It's been a while since I went there.

most the time SOHC is best in genral for turboing ... since the dohc engines are normaly built for high compression .

im sure if you built the b20 properly it could be boosted and you get get HHEEAAPPSS of power. its got a closed deck ffs people get over 400 hp on b18bs and they r nearly the same motor but the b18 doesnt have a closed deck

well from what I see the b20's are easier to boost asfar as parts go.Ive read some of the b-series kit will fit fine with some mods. I haven't seen one kit for the a20 yet & cant afford to put a kit together, let alone know what all I would need. since its my first venture into boosting a honda or any car I'm still very noobish on the subject. all Ive been doing the last few days is reading. my eyes hurt lol. so now Im very confused on what to do. all I do know is I see that car everyday & all I want to do is get started. what vtec's will fit in easy ?

oh & thanks alot guys !

I didn't think that there were any Turbo exhaust manifolds that fit the B20A either.
