These biotches wont 600$ to change the head gasket ... i mean damn do they think im stupid its only like 40-50$ for the part i think i might tell my mom the part cost 300 and do it myself and have an extra 250$ is it real hard to change the head gasket i got the haynes book thingy to tell me what to do can i do it? :help:

that sucks...
theres abunch of guys who can tell you how hard it is....i know it will take a couple hours for sure...

you also need more than just the head gasket seal too....unless you take the head off with the manifolds inplace still that is...
while your at it might as well change the timing belt too...

others will have more info.

Yeah, its only a $30 part, but its alot of work.

if it cost more than 250$ im gonna buy a 88 accord i saw in the paper the front end is wrecked i will just replace the front end with my car take all my mods off and out them in the wrecked accord it only has 96000 miles :D man im lucky

ummm i think swapping the whole front end will be more work than changing the head gasket

head gasket isn't jusrt replacing the gasket ! it's a lot more ! maybe you'll need machining ! :(

Yo, i would say u better change your own head gasket. Yeah, its a billion hours of work, but tell me this. Are you in a position to pay 600 bucks to change a headgasket, or do it yourself after reading all the instrustions and shit.

I would let my mechanic do it cause with him, its just $200. He is a family mechanic, so he does it for that much, cause thts all it is worth, cause u know what ur doing when ur an experienced mechanic.

just do it yourself bro. Save some money, and also u would learn a lot. but yeah, before u even open ur engine apart, get a torque wrench from homedepot ($20).
