I removed the dealership decal from my 87 Accord and I thought I'd post the way I did it.

my newly acquired 3gee!

What you will need:
1. Goo Gone. Also available cheaper at Lowes or Home Depot. http://www.amazon.com/MAGIC-AMERICA-GG12-Goo-Gone/dp/B00006IBNJ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1255225999&sr=8-1
2. Heavy Duty Sprudger. Made of tough plastic. $2.95 http://www.ifixit.com/Tools/Heavy-duty-Spudger/IF145-013
3. Cotton pads
4. towel or cloth.

http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/1354/dscn4939g.th.jpg (http://img30.imageshack.us/i/dscn4939g.jpg/)
It said "Knödel Motors San Antonio" I took off the K and noticed it wasn't that difficult.

http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/418/dscn4942.th.jpg (http://img185.imageshack.us/i/dscn4942.jpg/)
I dipped the flat end of the spudger in the goo gone and began working from one side of the letter to the other.

http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/5052/dscn4943.th.jpg (http://img185.imageshack.us/i/dscn4943.jpg/)
Almost off. After taking a part of a letter off a little I kept re-dipping the spudger in the goo gone.

http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/7711/dscn4944l.th.jpg (http://img24.imageshack.us/i/dscn4944l.jpg/)
Half way done! What I noticed as I was taking it off that is to put the spudger where the letter takes up the least space. of course the smaller letters were easier to take off. It's ok to work around the letter if it has a part thats gonna peel off easy, like the letter "N"

http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/5292/dscn4946.th.jpg (http://img65.imageshack.us/i/dscn4946.jpg/)
and voila were all done! And not a scratch on her. After all was done I wiped the area with goo gone to make sure all the residue was gone and then waxed the area with the towel.

Pile of dead decal.

You kill that decal! I can't stand when dealerships put shitty decals on a vehicle I just paid a pile of money for.

On a sorta side note, the local radio station was doing a "stickering" campaign a while ago. I pulled in for a slurpee and some smokes, and nearly shitkicked the fucker trying to plaster my car in "Zed 99 FM" stickers.

It's a Honda, of course it works! That is a very nice color, I've never seen it before. The paint looks better than I would have expected for a Texas car. Maybe it isn't original though.

It doesn't even look OEM (no, I'm not saying it doesn't look good, because it does :)).

Edit: Just kidding. Sonic Blue?

The car had the original owners manual when I got it. The guy who bought it in 1987 lives in the same city I do! So I imagine it probably hasn't gone far from the city but who knows. The color is Dark Blue Metallic (US production).

1987's dark blue was called Sonic Blue Metallic. only came on DX hatches

i didnt feel like createing a completely different post an i thought since u kno how to remove the decal u might have the correct answer to my question

so i jus removed my licence plate for cleaning an there where these two rubber stoppers on either side an as soon as i pulled out the licence plate they fell into the bumper, this all happened while i was wrkin on the front bumper mind u, so im asking, will i have to completely remove the bumper to get these stoopers back to their original placement? or is there an easier method?

hmm, I'm not entirely sure what your asking about. My front license plate is just a plane jane bracket with the plate attached to it. Perhaps a veteran member of the board can answer your question for you. :)
