Hey Everyone! I just bought a 1988 Honda Accord LX and was wondering what the cheapest performance upgrade would be. It has the 2.0 Carb engine.. i believe the A20a1?

Thanks

Nitrous. You'd need to run a wet shot and plumb it into the carb somehow, probably in the middle of the air cleaner. But $500-600 for 75hp definitely the best bang for the buck.

Cheaper than that, is doing a full de-vac on the stock carb, and installing a header. Pacesetter is all you can really get right now, but it's not terribly expensive. Won't get you huge gains alone but will help for cheap.

Next up is to do carb upgrades. If the stock carb just isn't cutting it for you with the manual secondary conversion, you can upgrade to a Weber 38, or even better, a set of big Weber DCOE Sidedrafts!
