Power won't cut

So I came out today on my way to work to find that my 88 LX-i was dead. A little confused, I boosted it, ran it for a few mins, shut it off, and saw that even with the wheel locked and keys out my car was lighting up like it was on position 1 (dash lights). Now when I take the key out it keeps doing this. Any ideas? Shot ignition switch maybe?

i would say you are spot on with the shot ign switch
they are easy to replace.
pull off the steering column trim and there will be 2 wee screws that hold the switch to the back of the barrel and a plug or two and thats it
