I like the uniqueness of USDM style bumper since its pretty rare here. (BTW they do have that style of bumpers in JDM land, but with same bumper lights like mine)

But.. I <3 how JDM has that kind of look that I can't explain lol. I <3ed them both So im gonna let you guys decide for me.

I went with USDM just because of the turn signals. They match the sidemarkers, and with your color of car, it just looks great.

Yeah and im gonna rig my sidemarkers to turn on with my parking lights USDM style yo! LOL

Except amber parking lights are illegal here so I need to rig them to a separate switch that I could turn them off just in case theres cops around or anything and adding extra white lights somewhere. Probably in the headlights/fogs, city lights style.

I vote USDM bumper with JDM lights if possible

So when you put the headlight switch on, do only the white lights come on with your headlights? Then the amber ones only blink to indicate turning? I always wondered what was up with that.

Isn't that the only difference: where the turn signals are?

Yes. Amber ones only blink as a blinker. Both front and sidemarkers.

Yes.

Then wouldn't a JDM bumper just be a USDM bumper with JDM lights? And a USDM bumper would be a JDM bumper with USDM lights?

If the bumpers are the same except for the turn signals, then wouldn't a JDM bumper with USDM signals just be a USDM bumper?

:flash:

I still go lolwut with that but no they are different. They would just be a JDM bumper with USDM signals. The location for signal lamps are different.

Notice in the top pic, the lights are below the chrome "trim" and in the second pic, the lights are in between the chrome trim. Thats why i like the USDM (top pic) better, personally.

If you do the mad USDM conversion, you need to make sure that they stick out at least 5 more inches. Or else it's just not USDM.

Ok, as soon as I finish the rear brakes, you will get PICS! Hopefully I can finish them tonight. I already had to get a slide hammer just to get the rear drums off. Stupid wheel bearings.

Sorry guys, but i just HATE how USDM bumpers stick out of the body.
PS: (Note the red, bold, underlined "hate", thats a really big and deep feeling of :burn::banghead::chainsaw:.

According to the dimensions in the w/shop manual there was only about 10mm difference between Canadian reinforced bumpers & general export bumpers!
We were all lumbered with pretty huge bumpers.

Custom/tinted bumper lenses in the Non-North American market bumpers so the rubber strip looks full width?

I second that, or just stick with the USDM, I just don't like how the JDM lights "Interupt" the Black line of rubber across the front bumper. It could be worse though, I've seen a USDM front bumper that had 2 extra big "Bumping points", 1 on each side (I don't know how to describe them, but hopefully people will get it...). they seemed cool cause I'd never seen them, but they were ugly as hell and stuck out way too much!
They were something like this:
