I'm thinkin of roping a turbo to my EK1 after the head is milled and put back on. Anyone done this? I can get an SRT4 turbo for next to nothing so I'm wondering if it would be cooler and cheaper than custom cam grinds.

Anybody have thoughts or insights? I think the BOV sound would accent my little Cesna sounding 3V just great bwahaha =)

I'm thinking very low boost here BTW, 4-6 lbs so I'm not looking for major power, just a little kick that spools quickly and adds efficiency

Jackson Racing used to turbo them. It's the motor that got them started.

Granted it was the 79-80 version of the EK1, but still, it's pretty much the same principle.

I would love to run to an EL head but I don't know if it is a possibilty... that setup looks hilarious, anyone have power numbers?

You don't need the EL head. The setup would be the same. The Jackson Racing setup put down 126whp.

Also here's another, it's a 1g, but basically the same motor: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3022/3061895923_08848af941_b.jpg

I will definitely hit you up when we decide to do it. Lots of other obstacles before to be handled =)

Supercharging would be better imo & safer for the engine. Its finding one that'd be the problem.
