i believe the motor that it has is called an RB26 or something like that. check google just to be sure...

thats me not being serious.

it says on the engine, near the exhaust manifold.

Alright swell its definitely not the RB26 thats a skyline engine and its not an LS1 lol these guys are just fooling with you haha

Altgough I dont know the exaxt engine in your car you can check a little bronze colored plate on your block I believe and it should be just to te left of your exhaust manifold/headers. You probably wont see it at first because it most likely will be covered in gunk its no bigger than 2"x1" though and should look something like my avatar picture (A20A3)

yup, it will either say: A20A1, or A20A3. if ur car is carb'd (DX hatch) then u should have the A20A1, if ur fuel injected (LX-I hatch) it should be the A20A3.

btw, a few of us are having a little meet in seattle in a few weeks, feel free to join us!

BT and BS are the "old style" honda engine codes.

The BT is the a20a3 equivalent, where as BS is the a20a1 equivalent.

I knew that they were the same as i put an a20a3 head on the BS block - still running in the car today. The only noticable difference was that the BS bottom end didnt have a oil windage tray.

All USDM carb'd 3g's have A20A1's, and all USDM fuel-injected 3g's have A20A3's. Depending on the year, a fuel-injected 3g might have the A20A3 ('86-7) or the A20A3 revised ('88-9).
