I really wanna make my brake pedal a lot more firm. How can I do that? I replaced my rear shoes roughly 3 months ago, changed my brake fluid, and my front pads are still great. Any suggestions? I want that new-car brake pedal feel.

Pull off the rear drums and adjust the shoes out further.

stainless steel lines will help, but even then my 88 LXi brake pedal is not as stiff as my Integra with stainless steel lines. I think the larger master cylinder helps.

Don't we have a 15/16 master cyl?

I think so, but the Integra one is slightly larger with 1"

Fresh, high quality fluid helps, as well as some decent pads. Cheap fluid + cheap pads = shitty feel. And when you bleed, you need to start from the brake with the longest line to the MC and work your way to the shortest one.

Only the ITR has the 1" master. The Integra is 15/16 just like ours.

Really? It's OEM too?

I noiticed on mine when I added the newer calipers, stainless lines and aem brake kit I acidently let the fluid level get drained completely out of the MC. After gallon of fluid I still have a week pedal. I think I need to bench bleed my MC. Its the only place it could be hiding.

Confirmed this morning...you had me doubting myself. It is the original OEM one w/165k on it and the car has always been in my family.

Try pressurizing the fluid reservoir while bleeding the brakes instead.
