Hi guys :)

Been thinking about posting this for a while now,
I’ve been working on my 1977 Honda Accord since August now.

Some specs:

It’s a European model, 1977 as said, original it was green, and was repainted black a year or so ago. (not the best work I’ve seen tho..)
It has a 5 speed manual transmission and a 1,6 liter carborater moter. (duh)

I bought it for a laughing price, after the previous owner had “bump in” with the guardrail and managed to wreak the whole right side.

Before damage

After damage

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/PB190010.jpg

None the less, I saw the potential in this car, and having NO experience what so ever in body work, I bought it, thinking it would be easy peachy, just slap some Bondo on it and glory glory, paint and done.

Liking the hood

Over all the damage wasn’t that significant.

The interior was horrible when I bought it.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/DSC00108.jpg

Those red detail go about all the vinylpanels in the car. My best guess is that the previous owner was colorblind. No way red and yellow/beige is a good combination. Notice the nice floor mats ;)

I guess I could tell you something about myself too.
I’m a girl, 21 year old. Haven’t been that mechanical about cars, but been loving cars since I was about 15 year.

Bought my first project when I was 17 (before I got my license). That was a relative rear Volkswagen Scirocco. 1,8 GTI

A little snipp:

Yeah, i love the roof spoiler too. Actually first i thought of getting rid of it, but it actually grew on me, looks pretty "original" too, so i don't feel it ruins the classic feel of the car :)

Wow, your rocco was beautiful! I recently saved a rocco from the scrapper and have been slowly working things out on it and driving it around.
Where did you get the Kamei eyelid by the way? I really want one but they seem impossible to find now-a-days ><

Clean find on the 1gee too btw :) a lil work on the bit of damage and she will be nice!

First days in the shop, I stared applying filler to the door and sanding down the scratches and dents.

Working on the front wheel arch.

Obs, look what I found :(
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/Bilde0346.jpg

Not a pleasant surprise.:violin:

Ended up cutting it out with a powergrinder, and welding in a piece of metal .

Welding in progress - Getting some assistance here

The metal came from a donor car, a Nissan Laruel.

Thank you guys. I really miss my Rocco. :( It was such a nice car.
I really fixed it up and had it real nice, and then i got stupid one day and wreaked the whole thing. Blah, hate myself for that. About the eyelid thing, i bought it like that :)

Bought that one cheap too, fixed it up ( it was soooo much wrong with it) and I putt on some adjustable coil-overs, had it real low and nice, stiff like a stick, was superb to drive on the track.

One good thing came out of the whole thing, and that was that I got back on the insurance when i wreaked it; Three times the price i paid for it!

Haven't gotten around to assemble the shelf I bought for my tools, and in the back end of the garage, is lots of wood boards and stuff, I'm renting the place and the dude never gets around to moving it. hehe. Haven't paid anything before he moves its, so it ok.

Hope its going to be sweet when its done too!

Dunno about how many, can't seem to find any spare parts so my guess is few :(
They seem to have more in Sweden actually.
I'm trying to order some parts from there now, found a complete black interior! OMG. I want it so bad.

http://image.fbt.se/global/images/image.php?src=/mnt/newftp/57/bil/demnr/0932-5.jpg&width=370&height=

Missing some trim pieces too, so I hope I find some. Getting stuff to this car is like an f'n- find &go-seek game.
Missing a signal sidemarker on the rightside as you can see from the pictures in my first post.

Front fender does also have a nasty ding in it :(
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/PA311046.jpg

Since its a chrome part, I don't really know what to do there. Can't seem to find a part, even worse to find since I can't use 79-81 fender (which I actually found...) Anyone know if its possible to use that fender with minor adjustments?

Also I'm hoping to find a new bub/socket to the indicator light on the rightside of the fender (the white one).
The whole socket just crumbled in my hands when I removed the front fender. Still works tho, but isn't exactly stable.

More updates around the corner.....

I have an almost complete black interior from a '78 that I found at the wrecking yard. It's not vinyl with the cloth inserts though. Nothing fits in my 81 as I found out... so it's up for sale. :) I have front and rear seats, door panels, rear seat side panels, and all the carpets. All in excellent condition. There is like one slightly visible blue mark of some kind but you can barely see it unless you're in the right light. Here's some pics if you're interested at all... I know shipping might be a killer overseas though...

aaah, SWEET!

But as you say, shipping IS a killer. I'm deff. going to check it up, but I imagen its horrible price... I actuall need a weight estimated, or size.. It has to be crated to be shipped - via boat.

And I'll be Checking up on that car they have in Sweden, got back a reply just now that I could give them a list of what parts I need and they'll get back to me with prices on shipping and parts. Finally. This one had an intact fender too, as far as I could see from the pictures. :D

Cool, yeah if you can get those other seats, you should. The cloth inserts in the middle are way nicer than the all-vinyl seats. Also, it might be worth calling a couple shops in your area and find out about getting your seats recovered. You might be surprised at how cheap it is, and they'll be like brand new... I might list these up for sale here locally soon, just to try to avoid the hassle of shipping them. They're taking up a lot of space in my room... :(

I'll check out those seats first yeah. Recovering is really expensive here, its not worth it. And besides I want new doorpanels, and as you saw in the above pictures I have some really horrible red spraypainted details throughout the interior. Gosh. Hate it!

I agree it would be a hassle shipping stuff like that, try selling it locally.. To bad to see it waste.

Here the other day I removed the fender so I could get to the nasty dent on the front wheel-arch. It was a lot worse than I though. unfortunalty I forgot my camera to take some before pictures of the dent. (you can get an idea from the pictures in my first post, but the really bad part is under the fender.)

Tried taking some pictures with my phone, but the pictures came out shitty because of the reflection of the worklamps ect.

Have a look
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/Bilde0378.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/Bilde0376.jpg

I have a friend that works with paint and body on cars, and she help me try to straighten out this dings with this tool, she called it a Bullet head, it welded nails into the deep point of the ding and then used an weight to "pull" it out. Didn't really work satisfactory but it helped a lot.

Here you see after I've used some glassfiber filling, longthreaded, sucks to work with.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/PA311037.jpg

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/PA311038.jpg

You still see the dent pretty good. The tape is just for guidance to see where the profil lines in the arch goes.

Heres after a few layers of PINK(yay) glassfiber bondo.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/PA311053.jpg

Done with the lower half of the wheel-arch. Need a layer of fine filler on it though. Take that when I'm done with the top part too.

Here you see the back wheel arch.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/PA311040.jpg

I started to put filler on the whole thing, think I messed it up a little, 'cus the shape kinda disappeared, so I have to sand a lot more. Blah.

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/PA311049.jpg

And if somebody would be so kind, please tell me if the words I'm using is the wrong expression, its hard to know, when I have to use these words that isn't even in the dictionary. Don't know what all the tools and stuff is called in english you see :p

Yeah the red is pretty horrid. I dunno who thought that was a good idea... icky! But I have been intending on selling this stuff for a while, and haven't done it yet. Also, I'll probably ask a lot for it around here so it may not sell at all... definitely will give a good price to a 3geez member though!

Thank you :)

I'm goint to keep it black, since I'm not planing to repaint the whole car. Just the whole rightside. My friend is fixing me up with a sweet price. Expect it to be done with paint by Christmas.:D

Further plans includes changeing front wheel disks and theres a eh.. an electrical problem with the backlight, it seems to blink everytime I brake insted of just lighting. The Rpm-meter needle keeps jumping when I reach 80km/h. I'm still trying to go through the whole car to see what I can improve :) And the radio is not working, have the orginal one still :D

The 1g Accord doesn't have the best electrical system design ever. I think the first thing you should do is replace all the fuses. Those glass fuses seem to deteriorate, and though they will work, will cause some weird issues for no reason. Something I learned the hard way, after spending hours and hours trying to diagnose problems, only to find out that all I need to do was replace fuses that appeared to be just fine. Also, the main fuse by the battery would be good to replace as well.

Wow, exciting to see the progress.
Must admit to liking that original blueish-green, since it's such an unusual colour that only
Europe & Japan seemed to get. But I wouldn't want to have to change from black either.

Red paint in interior certainly shocking, I heard Brake fluid can be a useful mild paint stripper that doesn't attack some plastics. I think I'm going to have to paint my '77's interior trims back to their original beige as they are starting to to fade (to pink!) & luggage area trims don't seem to like too much sun either.

Scirocco looked gorgeous & would make interesting comparison to Accord even if Accord was always more comfortable & less sporting than early Scirocco, a shame Honda never tried to compete..

Front fender does also have a nasty ding in it :(

The whole socket just crumbled in my hands when I removed the front fender. Still works tho, but isn't exactly stable.

I Presume you mean the front bumper?
The bumpers didn't change through out the 1g Accords '76-81 lifespan apart from their rubber trims & side-pieces (well there was a slight change to the light mountings that doesn't seem to affect anything). Though you might be able to get yours to look vaguely adequate. I've managed to straighten some a bit whilst held in a vice between pieces of wood or hit with a sledge hammer over an appropriate piece of steel (again cushioned by wood)

One of my bumper-light backings/housing also disintegrated, I guess they don't like sunlight. My side/fender indicator lights were also showing signs of it. Luckily I had some spares (although one was from an '81 which had different wiring plugs), other wise I might have reconstructed parts of it from filler. Then I painted them white for sun protection.
http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/3327/241/33315120008_medium.jpg

Oh & regarding interior trim weights, front seats weigh 10.4 kg each.

http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs196.snc1/6611_1209962407762_1189779256_654549_8353470_n.jpg
That front airdam looks interesting. I want a small one (though a bit bigger than the '79-81 one), but will mount it well back under the car.
A bonus that you have a passenger side mirror that were only a dealer option here, & surprised yours are in a "normal" location where ours were mounted weirdly rearward for the earliest (1977) Accords here.

My '77's rear lights are also a bit unreliable at the moment but I think it is just dirty/corroded connections at the bulb socket (which are also suffering sun-damage).

Trust me, the blueish-green isn't really that nice. I think black is a really good color, maybe a little boring, but it keeps it together, and last longer over the years to come

Red paint was horrible. Tried using some paint thinner on it, it goes of, but i had to rub it like for 15min and it was just a small area. And the beige is more like... beige with a hint of red. I have a black interior that I'm likely to get a hold of, so I'll try my chances with that first.

Scirocco looked gorgeous & would make interesting comparison to Accord even if Accord was always more comfortable & less sporting than early Scirocco, a shame Honda never tried to compete..

You have no idea how much I loved that Scirocco. It was everything to me. My first car you know. Sigh. I miss it :(

Of course I mean the front 'bumper'.. As I said earlier, I'm not really good with the English car lingo. hehe.

As mention earlier, I found a donor car with an intact bumper :) Hope I could get it shipped.

Oh & regarding interior trim weights, front seats weigh 10.4 kg each.

Haven't really thought about that airdam. Is it a European thing maybe?

I have a friend thats an electrician (the welding guy on the first page)
He's going to help me find out of the electrical system, I already think I know whats wrong.. Theres been used fueses, or.. eh. Don't really know the word, but anyways, it ruins the electrical current.

My 1g electrical isnt in the perfect condition either. I had the whole engine bay rewired, replaced any old wires and connectors along with upgraded alt to battery wire and grounds. They seem to help but I think my alternator is dying too :(

And car progress looks good so far, keep that up

Hey guys; Quick question.

The donor car I found is too far away for me to go get it, so the wreaker said just tell him what parts i want and he'll get prices on shipping.

I'm wondering - what parts is smart to have a backup on?

The parts I got on the list so far is;
complete interior, front bumper, sidemarker light, and bumper light, windshield wipers front and back+motor. Some trim exterior, around the grill and windows.

Any motor parts where would be smart to stock up on?
the carburetor?
I haven't been driving the car all that much, but I drove it a 3hous trip and there was nothing to complaine about, works like a clock.
Except the front breakdisks, but those i need new anyways ;)

Btw, is it "easy" to color a carpert?
Wondering if the hassle of shipping one is just as bad as coloring the one I have....

Ok, first thing you NEED to get is that bumper, if it is in really good shape, and maybe the bumper lights.

In the interior the thing you need is the armrests, the red painted ones are ugly!(armrest.. is that the name?), also get the clock if it is good and cheap, just in case.

Front wiper motor is good to have an spare just in case, the front one works alot (in rainy places).
Exterior trim: The chrome parts around the lights that follow in the hood and under, those are IMPORTANT, grab them if you can. If the one around the grill is cheap, get it also.

Mechanical important parts: The ignition module is an important thing, also an spare distributor, the carburettor, camshaft (if in perfect shape), main rad fan (motor), fuel pump...

Geez.. i am missing some important items now, but i will update when i remember :)

Note: If you find a roof console, get it! Its a nice bolt-on extra for your car,
(and has a lot of buttons to play with). :D

YES!! Do get those parts! Also get the oil pump gear shaft. It sits between cylinders 2 and 3 under the valve cover (you'll see the gear in the middle of the camshaft) and runs down through the block and drives the oil pump. Might as well snag the starter and alternator too if you can, but they're less important than the distributor and ignition parts and camshaft. And wheels are really hard to come by that fit the 4x120 pattern. So if it has some alloys, get them too.

Thanks for a great answer! Only thing is that I need to change the whole interior, since the donor car has black and mine as you can see is beige. Black interior would be sweeeeet!

But then again, shipping shipping might be a killer.
I probably need the ceiling cover too..?
...and carpet, and all interior and panels ect. Gosh.

My Alladin floormats are up for grabs! XD
Hehe, it came with the car, and I thought "what the heck", leave in there, till I get some new floormats/interior :D

Ok, the beige interior MUST be changed to black or another proper color, but the ceiling can stay the way it is now, dont worry about the ceiling, it match ANY exterior color.:)

You have 2 options:

1-Paint interior panels black, just as they did with the red armrests (i did it with my new dash that came in brown and i had to paint it blue). (pictures coming tomorow)

2-Get a whole black interior.. :( hard one...

About the roof console, it does almost nothing but is cute and original. It has front map light, rear map lights, center light and two rows of numbers in the front to "write down" odometer readings. The car looks like a Boeing 747 with that thing in the roof!

PS: My car is getting a black paint too :) (blue interior)

Okei, good, then the ceiling cover stays :) even tho the interior will be black? Would it still match?

My dash is actually black for some reason. :D

So the only hard part about the interior is the carpet. The chairs, backseat and doorpanels front and back is no problem getting.

I never tried, but a carpet is shaped in the form of the floor, right?
So you can't fold it/compress it to get smaller when shipping?

What custom rims are you ordering? I think 15's look very modern and sporty, 14's look a little closer to period-correct but can still be very sporty too. I'm curious because I'm looking for rims for my car too. If you know a place to get some sweet rims in different sizes in 4x120 that would be sweet!!

I have a firm who will make these for me. They are a Norwegian business, and it would be slightly expencive. I guess there are plenty of places to do this in the stats too?

At first i tried finding the factory Alloy rim (http://www.1stgencivic.org/1stgeneration_civic/susp_wheels.htm) to the Accord. Top, second to the left. Love that one.

But, seeing as I infact are custom making these Alloys, I was thinking about maybe doing a 5-spoked alloy rim. Kinda like the Borbet A, but not with all the.. eh. Edge. Get it? :)

Accords combines most interior colors with white roof, they combine well enoug.
You can get your seats redone in the correct color (because shipping them will be expensive, they are 10 kg each, and big), i did redone mines and those seats looks factory now.
The carpets can be folded, i have a few new oem sets, and they come folded in a plastic bag.(pics coming :D)

I have 15" in my car, they were a pain to adapt mainly because i changed from 4x120 to 4x100, that was easy in front, i just used parts from a 1981 Prelude, that is 4x100, and bolt on,but the rear ones...:nervous: Try not to get in such a mess, just find a set of 4x120 and everything will be just fine. :)

Redoing the seats is like 2000$, while buying + shipping is max 700$ (for all the parts). I hope. And since the carpet can be folded, even better, then I know I can get the complete interior. :)

Costom making the rims will cost me about 1000-1300$.. I hope its worth it.

That beeing said, I do have the orginal steel rims, sanded and repainted in gold/bronse. They look really hot, but haven't tried them on yet, since I'm working on the car.... Rims are safly kept in the trunk :)

You know that my offer is still on :p

Anyway, I spent like $200 getting my seats recovered. I had my door panels redone in black vinyl and painted the rest of the interior trims myself. As long as you use proper paint for plastics, they would last and look as good as stock.

And go with 15"!

I hear you there, pretty much the same over here. I remember searching for some prices on reupholstering a while back, and prices were starting at 1000 €. Would probably need to find someone who does it just as a hobby or something to get it done cheap. And even then I think just the materials might cost as much as the the whole seats done for across the pond.

Oh, and nice progress with the car. I really like the black, and the rear window spoiler thingy gives it a bit of a sporty look. Can't say too many 1g's look all that sporty. ;)

The interior really is hideous, good thing you're fixing it up. :)

You will have to tell us more about your 4x100 so others know what difficulties they may encounter. It took a while to sort out mine but I'm happy with the 2nd gen Prelude rear discs, the ease of replacing frt discs & the ready & cheap availability of 4x100 alloys.
(But I still wish I could get the Accord "SE" wheels here as well for my '77 !)

------------------------

Regarding parts, check you wiper pivots for wear & looseness too Thyfire, especially the centre one.
And as a daily driver I found it useful to have a spare pair of driveshafts so I could just swap them over as soon as I spotted a split in their rubber joint gaiters/boots, before they wear from lack of grease & dirt entry (& didn't have to face the mess of replacing the rubbers immediately).
1st Gen Integra seats should be readily available in black too & aren't hard to fit (pre '81 Accords?) either.

I was able to replace my front rotors without pulling the wheel bearings. I simply undid the spindle nut on the front, and attached a hub puller with a slide hammer. The hub pulled right out, and to get it back together, I put the axle through the hub and used the spindle nut to tighten it back down slowly to let everything seat, until I could feel no movement from the hub to the spindle. Then I loosened the spindle nut and tightened it back to spec.

Tha slide hammer is a GOOOOD tool to have, gosh i want one. But surely enough, the hub system in our cars is crappy :sad2::uh:, thank god they solved that in the later models.

Been a while.
The Honda is almost done now, body-wise, going to paint on Saturday.

Was there today, took some pictures. All done with the bondo, just a matter of sanding and making it ready paint.

Another spam post coming :) Done with paint today! OMg, I just can't believe it. I'm actually done with the bodywork and paint!

For those who haven't read the whole tread, or forgot; Before you ask/say anything, I'm sorry to say, but I didn't do a whole bodypaint, I "only" painted the right side of the car since that was where the damage was.
I totally should have I repainted the whole car.
But that would be a massive job, my guess is the rest of the car isn't that flawless when you start to sand it down, suddenly theres hundreds of small dings and things you have to fill with bondo.

Maybe I'll consider it some time later, its anyways insain that I even worked on the car this month, since there is like between -1celcius and -20 Celsius outside, and my "garage" is like a pit hole, no isolation no nothing. The doors don't even close tight, there is always gaps in the bottom part.

Working with bondo or even using a compressor and spray painting when its that cold is ridiculous. Filler has 20 hours drying time, in room temperature!

So I'm actually overexcited over the fact that I got it done! Omg :D

My plans now, is really just letting it sit in its garage till the weather gets warmer, and the snow melts away. When spring time come, its will be changing of breaks and interior, and a good ol' polish so that rest of the car matches the new painted side :)

Pictures follow.

SPRING IS HERE ~

As I promised, I've begun working on the Honda again.
Last week I drove 9 hours to Sweden (next to Norway :)) and picked up a bunch of stuff that came of a donor car.
The donor car was actually even 7 more hours of driving, so I had the parts sent as close to the border as possible.

So this is what I got.

Windshield wipers front and the wiper motor
Antenna
Right side signal light
both lights in the fender
two black front seats
Rear seat and back
black door-covers front
and some interior bits and pieces.

Uploading some pictures as we speak. Didn't really plan on taking any this time, since I didn't finish putting in the
black interior, but work in progress is equally fun, right?

Had some help today fixing an electrical problem with the tail lights. It was electrician-hell.
The dude that had worked on it before has really done some sloppy work.

But my brilliant friend Mr.Fix It took care of it :D So now its tip top.

Pictures follows in the post below.

I need some help figuring what I'm missing on the interior, because under the dash,
there are some really freaky and unnatural thing. Se pictures below :D

Ok, the hood opener is supossed to have a steel bracket fixed to the kick panel, you will see a couple of holes where the bracket fits. The "plumbing" is for he heater,,is supposed to come from the engine, then to the heater valve, and then to the internal heater radiator.

Hi. I got a question. I've been searching the forum about coloring/dying the carpet.

I really don't want to take it out, and go through extreme measures to get i black.
Could i use some kind of spraycans to color the carpet whilst its in the car?

I don't really care if the result is a 100%, its anyway going to be better than that yellow/brown shade its now.

You already have all the hard stuff out so why not go the extra length?

Honestly, the trouble of taking it out and doing what you want to it then beats painting it inside the car and getting over spray on everything.

Keep up the good work.

I decided that I'll take the carpet out now ;) My father-in law thought that would be best.

But can I spray the carpet? With the ordinary kind of spray, or should it be somekind of vinyl/textile/carpet spray (which honestly is really far too expensive)

Heater tap / water valve part #2 & its cover can't be seen in the photos of your car. Since they may not be available an alternate tap / water valve may have been added elsewhere (the Prelude put it closer to the engine), or simply by-passed it so the heater stays on all the time (some newer cars do this & instead stop the air from going through the heater core/radiator)

Those are some unusual seat-belt buckles your car has!

With the center console out the carpets are ridiculously easy to remove anyway. Not sure what to suggest about painting them, though I think I am about to buy some black fabric paint to use on some velour Honda Integra seats that have faded badly... & have to ask a professional auto vinyl repairer friend what to use on my '77 accords faded beige door trims.

Thank you so much 79cord :D awesome.

Red parts are in the proses of becoming black :D
Looking Über. I can't describe the fantastic feeling of standing there paining it from red to black, it felt so great :D

center console is BLACK

A lovely "before-picture" of one of the door...eh..whats it call and whatnot.

and After
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/thyfire/Accord%20prosjekt/Foto0177.jpg

I used spray paint, called "bumper paint" its for plastic parts, and I'm actually surprised how good the outcome was. I had to use two-three coverings, but the paint is cheap, and with one Can I did the center console and both door-side-thingies... :D

I cleaned the parts thoroughly with silicon remover and then I used 400p sanding paper and then once again wiped it off with a damp cloth, and then it was ready for spraying.

Quite happy now.

Since it was easter the shops where closed, so I'm a little short on supplies.
Buying more spraypaint tomorrow, looking for vinyl spray and some other parts.

And I've began planing some audio in the car. Its not supposed to be something that rocks the car apart, but something smooth, and sexy.

Thinking about 5 1/4" in the doors (JVC) and built in behind the back seats, two boxes with two 8" in each of them. And I'll make a mdf floor in the trunk, removing the spare tire, and embedding one of the amplifiers in there where the spare tire was. Then some plexiglass over. The other one will be placed between the two cases of 8"x2.

haha, probably hard to imagined, but I think it will be great. Ofc pictures will follow :D

Only problem is I'm not sure where to put the back speakers. Probably going to be 6x9 or some wicked 4x10. Any ideas?

I have an almost complete black interior from a '78 that I found at the wrecking yard. It's not vinyl with the cloth inserts though. Nothing fits in my 81 as I found out... so it's up for sale. :) I have front and rear seats, door panels, rear seat side panels, and all the carpets. All in excellent condition. There is like one slightly visible blue mark of some kind but you can barely see it unless you're in the right light. Here's some pics if you're interested at all... I know shipping might be a killer overseas though...

Do you still have some of the stuff from that interior? I just had to ask.
I like the mats you see. And possibly the back door panels.

I still have EVERYTHING. You know what? I'm going to junk the seats and pull of the seat covers. You could put the seat covers on your seats and have some nice looking seats for your car. I also still have those rear panels. I'd love to see all that stuff go to a good home in your car. My front door panels are in really good shape too, only thing wrong is the peeling chrome. Should be able to get everything into one box that way and make shipping pretty damn affordable.

Unfortunately, the mats are in my car. They were too lovely to not put in there. :)

I'm going to try to get to it tonight. So if you're interested, let me know, PM me your info and I'll try to get a shipping quote for you some time this week.

:eek5:

Talk about efficiency! First things first, I'm not sure about the seat covers. I did actually get the black seats, and they weren't that bad. One was worse, but I think that 'll have to do.

Doorpanels to back would be awesome!... You know what, check out about the shipping (I'll PM you) And then we'll figure out what to send and what not to :D

I didn't have any time tonight to break the seats out. I will have to get to it sometime this week. I'm just happy to see the parts you need go to someone who is taking care of their car. That's why I took them mostly, figured someone could use them, and it would be a shame to throw them away or let them get crushed.

I ship stuff to New Zealand all the time, and via US Postal Service, it's not as bad as you might think.

My only guess would be colorblind. I have no other explanations that would justify that unholy gruesomeness done to this car.

Two separate items, the molding, and the weatherstrip, they also came together.

Molding P/N: 75801-671-000
Weatherstrip: 75861-671-010
Both together: 75860-671-020 *

If you cant find the items locally, i have the item marked with * for sale, new old stock (NOS) the cost, USD 60 plus shipping (from Paraguay! =S ).

I also have the trunk lining NOS but i am not sure about the color, i am sure that i saw a couple in red and one in blue, but there can be anoter in black, i should check my warehouse because those items are not included in my catalog.

You also asked for a place where to put your speakers, so i bet you are missing the rear tray. Sadly a dont have that item for you. :) But here is the link with part number.

I really need that weatherstip moldthingy... too bad its so expensive :S

But please check out that trunk lining, and give me a price. If the part is in some kind of plastic, I could surly paint it black if you don't have that color.

I found some vinyl spray to use on my back doorpanels. They turn out pretty fab.
A little dusty, but that'll come right of.

Haven't cleaned it, so door panels and stuff are a bit dirty.

As you can see the coloring of the carpet wasn't that good. I've actually got a hold of "carpet" spray, but I wouldn't recommend it for other than vinyl and dash. I'll fix this next week.
Also you still can see the red freking belt covers, I'm supposed to rip them out of there, I have some leather covers I'm going to cover the belt-suspenders with instead.

Your car is looking great! That bumper needs to be straightened tough. And yeah, is normal that it sticking out that much, is the only ugly part of the early Accord for my taste, thats why i made a custom bumper for mine.
I have the carpets too (new), not sure about the color tough..i think i sold out all the black carpets, but i should check anyways.

I think you are missing a piece of plastic that goes under the bumper kinda between the bumper and grille. It makes the bumper appear to not stick out so much. Or you could shorten your bumper up. :D

I've heard rumors about some plastic thing... Maybe 1GCustomAccord have that plastic part?

Haha, and yes, carpets would be nice  if you find some black/gray ones =)

I love the color, great work!
If I find a 1G I want to paint it orange and black... or all black. :D

Too bad Honda hasn't brought back this classic look like Dodge did with the Challenger or Ford did with the Mustang, I just love how the hood sticks out and the front end angles back towards the tire.

Looking gorgeous, that paint & the interior looks well worth the effort.

Those sure are wild seatbelts & retractors, ours having been old-style "static" manually adjustable at the back.

I think you are missing a piece of plastic that goes under the bumper kinda between the bumper and grille. :D

Aside from the plastic covering trim between the bumper and body there are also metal panels to support them (& the frt grille), the front one being bolted on while the rear one is normally welded to the body, I can't spot those in your photos either.
They can be very rust prone with the plastic holding mud against them, especially if their paint has been damaged by impact.
