Accelerating without pushing pedal?

My '88 Accord LX Sedan will sometimes accelerate without me pushing the pedal. Any suggestions?

fixing it? or call 911 when it accelerates and ask them what to do while your car is speeding away hahaha. lol but seriously maybe you should check your throttle cable or crc your pedals & throttle linkages or something, has the carb been worked on lately?

yeah, we just cleaned the carb because ti was getting stuck at a high idle speed (3-4000 RPM)

i have a carb and this things are problums with them, if it was dierty and had it adjusted that way, when you clean it you have to re-adjust 1/2 of the coponents.
