My friend gave me a used intake filter, it is a poweradder, one of the cheap $30 red ones, its really dirty i wanted to ask what the best way to clean it was?

Throw it in the garbage and buy a cheap paper one. When that gets dirty, repeat. A lot of those cheap filters let a lot of dirt by into your engine, and actually provide more restriction than a paper filter. Your call.

If you really want to clean it, soak it with engine degreaser, then flush with tons of hot water from the inside out. Let it dry for a couple of days, then apply filter oil per package directions.

I would get a K&N filter recharge kit and follow the instructions.
