It's been tossed around for a while on different threads, so it may be time to create a new thread just for this.

There are a lot of folks in SoCal and a lot of folks in Washington, and I was thinking a pretty central location for all of us to meet is Medford, Oregon.

WHEN: July 16th - 18th.
WHERE: Medford, Oregon... Champion Raceway Friday, Saturday T.B.D.
TIME: If we race Friday, gates open at 5PM, then Saturday we can meet after everyone has a bloody-mary or so.

BRING: A fully charged digital camera, a couple bucks for racing Friday night ($25 to race or $10 to watch), motel money, burger funds (We got cheap fast food(comparitivly) around here), and at least $17 for the slick-kart/arcade Saturday.

I know Medford very well, beings I'm only 15 minutes away, but there is a nice Slick-Kart track (http://www.slickkart.com/) AND arcade. They have a rock-wall, a cafe, and lots of arcade games. It's not very hard to get to, but kinda hard to find (BRING DIRECTIONS... And spare directions. lol). I don't know what they charge because it's been about 7 years since I was there last, but I remember it was pretty cool. The biggest name in Suzuki aftermarket parts is right next door and I visit often, so I wont get us lost... lol

Friday night, there are legal "Street" drags at the Champion Raceway (http://www.championraceway.com/). It's $25 for the night for racers, and $10 per adult to spectate (kids under 10 are free). Test and Tune starts at 5PM, RACING starts at 6PM. If you are good enough and there are enough people that night, you might expect to be there till 11. There are lots of bars, lots of clubs, and even 2 18+ clubs in town, and since I'll be 20 next summer, I wont attend any drinking, but I am know for being the best taxi at my parents parties (New Years is CRAZY! My parents know how to party.)

The weekend and week AFTER July 4th, I will be at the Rubicon, so if we can do something after, it would be great. Before the 4th, I might be busy with 4x4 rigs, but I'll swing in a Meet.

1-18 Update: We are still debating on what to do Saturday.

When I was about 7 or 8, Brotherton was doing a lot of work in Spokane and my dad was the Semi driver at the time, so we would go I-5 till somewhere (don't really remember) and shoot over to the Dalles, then north. That looks like the long (and cold) way to go.

Like I mentioned in this thread and the pic thread, there are Legal "Street drags" on Friday nights, and there is a Slick-Kart track and arcade. I don't know if there is anything like that within 300 miles, so this is a good spot for a WHOLE west coast meet.

Yea, I got wicked skills in the auto area, so if anything happens to "break", more than likely we can get it running.

I bought a complete 88 A3 motor for $400 with 108k on it.
I also got access to a complete fab shop, so most custom stuff is fixable.

At the overpass, you will want to turn right and drive under the overpass (this street is called E. McAndrews Rd., NOT to be confused with the E. There is a Best Western in Rogue River for dirt cheap (last I heard, it was $36 a night), and here in RR, you can just about leave your car unlocked with the keys in it. There isn't much theft, here.

The thing about that though, it's about 17 miles from Meford, but that's where I live.

Well I guess I will show up too and have some fun! Another option to the indoor cart track is the track at the family fun center. It's an outdoor track with multiple turns, while the indoor is a small oval. They are both fun though!

Im thinking if I go Id have to make a 3 day trip so Id vote over a holiday weekend. verterns day or labor day so i can spend a day driving down, sleep for the meet the next day. Party and have fun all day. We are trying to beat a 26 hour meet right? Then afterwards, sober up and drive home. That my game if anyone else would care to split a place the day before or something. Im sure the hatch will have the b18c in it by then but if its going to a track Id like to show rendon how a real turboed car should look and bring the coupe. Im sure IF charlie could go hed have to get a field trip waiver signed by his weekend guardian or whoever he rides with.

Id think starting from Marysville and planning on making it to corvallis ro grants pass to hook up with xybris for the 1st night to kickit or hang out would be cool. Wake up and finish the drivein the morning. Would this work for anyone. break it into a good 6-8 drive the 1st day and the last 3 the next morning?

I think if less people from the south end are going to make the trip, the further north the meet location will end up. I think anyways. Beer is nasty guys. Tears up my gut for days. Give me a 1/2 gallon of patron, jager, pyrat rum, pendelton whisky and Ill be good. Most twisted I ever got a 2 racks (24 beers each) 2 bottles of Jim beam, 1 bottle of disorono, and tried to attack the patron after that. Anymore a 1/2 gallon is good for a drink session and Ill be looking for more. Do you body a favor and stay away from the bottom shelf crap. Stick to the top shelf.

hey Bass, we should consider finding a few more things to do for people that show up to the meet on friday and stay in the medford area through sunday. im sure there will be a few of us. I will be staying all weekend.

maybe we can do meet and greet friday, then drags, then dinneer at a dennys or something

then saturday cart racing and bbq and photoshoot, and whatever else there is to do saturday like a late night cruise before we all get hammered.

then sunday we should all get together for some early morning grub and all go our own seperate ways.

what do you guys think about something like this?

Yeah I was thinking continuing mg road trip even after the meet. Im coming from way south and probably going way north. But im hoping moat people can stay until atleast sunday. I want to cruise up with the WA crew and follow them in to the northern most part that they live. And then keep going possibly into Canada lol thats how serious i am

Im deffinantly gunna have new rims for tha meet. Im picking them up on wensday or thursday there 205/50/15s i havent seen them but im more after tha tires cuz mine are bald and these are proxes. 6 double spoke hopefully there nice but either way im sure theyl grow on me. Im so damn happy rite now!

ok, so I just made hotel reservations for July 8th - 11th in Medford at the Homewood Suites for $39 / night. Hotel Employee Rates FTW! I can get another room at that rate if I say that you are my "family member". You don't have to stay as long as I am, we are coming up a day before to recover from the 12 hour drive lol.
