i want to put them right behind the door handle, on the door. it seems like a perfect place for them. my question is , has anyone else done this? and is it hollow behind there? i think im just gonna drill outa big hole, and then screw them to the plastic. if anyone has any better placement suggestions feel free. tight now there ducteaped to the black traingle plastic piece behind the mirror.

do you see the 6.5 " woofer now look down and you will see two other small speakers. well those two small speakers called tweeters. they produce high sounds whe you play stereo.

LOL!!!!! Its cool... also funny... but some people arent into the car audio scence... my uncle for example is an amasing mechanic yet he knows nothing about car audio... 1989se-i ... the purpose of the smaller device in the middle of most speakers are to produce high pitch sounds ie. treble.. the cone or surrounding area is for bass feedback... if you were to only use the center piece (tweeter) then you could channel your highs or add to the treble produced by your system... Subs dont have tweeters because they are only ment for low pitch decibles... thus the large cone size....

wow thanks for all your help.... does anyone have any pics on installed tweets? im thinking about not cutting into the door, because the resale value will probably plummet (despite the fact that ive already ported the trunk)

i put mine in the B pillars... i had to cut though... makes them close to your ears, and with them there, you could get away with no rear speakers...

lol... sure.... ya ... were... haha.. Playin.. static... I have pics..umm somewhere... I love where mine are... its hard to describe though.. umm... if you follow the curve of the top of the gauge cluster... to the left.. it will flatten out on your dash then come up close to your window/door.... I have mine right there.... so the one on the left is almost facing the passenger on the right and the one on the right is facing the driver... that way you wont just hear the one thats close to you and not the one thats on thats further... if you dont know what I mean then I'll try to find those pics and scan them.....

In my other coupe i had them mounted in front of the door handle and yes part of it is hollow but there was a post in part of it to support it that u dont want to cut. Im not sure on the sedan so be carefull. I used the proper size Hole saw with a dril to cut it open.

I would definetly take your door panel off for the mounting
I mounted mine in front of the door lock and in front of the door vent tube. Ya want to take the panel of so ya don't drill through your side vent, lol that would suck

To flush mount I used one of those big circle bits for a drill that will make a 1" hole or whatever size ya need, it worked perfect.

it isnt really just hollow, cuz you have those little vents that blow on our door windows. But they make a nice spot to screw into.

for those who dont know what tweeters are, (in easy words) incase you dont know what nathan was talkin about, they are like 2 inch speakers that are really loud (treble) and they sound good with subs
