Hello there guys!,
I have been a Ford mech for the past 3 years, and a Ford guy my whole life until about 6 months ago when my Ford Taurus lost its transmission and my friend offered me his old 86 accord for $300, At the time i was weary to buy it as i was not a Honda fan really( I was one of the guys who went around saying GOD DAMN RICER! every time i saw a civic) and knew nothing about them but needing a car and not having much money at the time i went ahead and bought it anyway and I'm glad i did!
Now let me tell you a little something about the car
its a 86 LXi Sedan 5speed , 287K miles on it , original engine and trans The Clutch, Brakes , Tires , Ball joints , Shocks ,Cap, Rotor , Timing belt,Alternator, Battery were all replaced last year, It runs and drives fantastic! it drives smoother and handles better then my 99 Taurus ever did which really did shock me! my first drive in this car and i was in love with Honda, And the greatest part about it is I'm only the 2nd owner so Ive got all the records on it and even the window sticker from when it was bought in 1985!
Ive driven it from Tn to Fl twice now with no problems at all, and it can cruise at 95 all day long!
I Don't have many plans for the car other then a paint job and some nicer wheels for it, Thinking about getting a set of 90 escort rims for it as i believe they are the same lug pattern,
But i will definitely be keeping her for many years to come , And when i do replace her it will be with another Honda!
(btw my wife picked the name of the account there is no way i will be racing my car lmao)
