View Full Version : whats it worth? 14" 88-89 LX directionals

I have the 13x5 24 hole 86 lxi rims and I was thinking about getting a set of the 14" lx directionals from pullapart. 2 out of 4 are in nice shape but 2 have a couple of scratches but no bends. 2 out of 4 tires are road worthy. tax total everything would be $135. Think they are actually worth that? I know it would be what am I willing to spend yada yada.

I wouldn't mind a set of 17's off ebay for $350 but everything I read says 7.5 will be too much in the back.

Also will my center caps fit on the 14" rims? Thanks Kent

They're pretty tight, but I wouldn't pay $135 for them if two are ugly with bad tires.

Ya, I'd like a set but I think I'm just going to try and get the last 10k miles out of my tires. Thanks for feedback. Those blades would be nice.

That is usually the case when you have them they just get in the way and when you need them good luck.

If you are at all concerned about weight, avoid them. I think they are something like 18# for a bare rim. On a 14" that's outrageous. You could buy spinners that are lighter.

Kent, there is a pull-a-part in montgomery with 11 3rd gen honda's. It is just like the one here in birmingham overflowing with 3rd gen accords. A rim costs 14.03 a piece with the tire. go down and pull you a set

That is what started this post. They have 4 but a couple the clear coat is messed up. I was just trying to find out info on the rims before purchase.

Are those 14's Charlie? Forgive my ignorance, I've never seen a set of those. What did they come on? They look sexy:cheers:

Yes, 14's. The only 14's available on the LX-i (yes, the SE-i had 14's but you couldn't get those). I'm pretty sure they were only there in 1989 and only on the LX-i (and Prelude Si 4WS).

have your 13s powder coated black, tires are cheaper for the 13s

yeah its around that price renge... not worth it for factory wheel when i can paint them pretty good for $10 lol, now if it was a nice wheel that's a different story

LewZur

I can get it done for around $160, but for stock wheels, I agree, not worth it to me. I'm going to try to pick up an oven after the first of the year, but I'm looking for one to do bigger pieces in so we'll see.
