[engine a20a4]

a20a3

Dat88Monstar
12-24-2009, 01:41 PM
no its a4 because a3 is the prelude motor according to wikipedia

The A20A3 and A20A4 were the fuel injected versions of the A20A engines. They were run by Honda's PGM-FI system on a partial OBD-0 computer. The A20A4 gives a slightly higher power output because of not having emissions components. The A20A3 was offered in the 1984-1987 Honda Prelude 2.0Si, the 1989 Honda Accord SE-i, and the 1986-1989 Honda Accord LX-i.

The A20A2 and A20A4 were not available in the United States because they did not have emissions components. The DX and LX models had the A20A1 carb'd version, the '86-7 LXi had the A20A3 and the '88-9 LX-i (and '89 SE-i) had the A20A3 revised version. Did you understand what you read? :D

boosting in fun but if your willing to spend the CASH MONEY i would do it.

BUT if you dont have anything i would just start gathering parts for your boost build

First thing is first if your motor is not healthy your not boosting plane and simple. your blow in the first couple of WOT pulls. SO best thing to do is do a comp test. See if everything is on TOP shape. Then you can proceed to getting a manifold made or buy one from a member hURR. then you need to get some sort of managment fuel pump/injectors/fpr/Tunning of so sort Apex safc/btm/ then you need to get your charge pipes made/ interfooler. LOL. and the a turbo that best suits you. A T3 would suit a A20 nice. IM fully spooled at 4.500rpm.

SO i think in my opinion is your better to stay n/a since you seem to have a decent setup. I would pull your motor out and build it if you want to boost.

are the holes in the rear bumper for speed?

dacantu
03-07-2010, 06:32 PM
^^ theyre for less drag. its more aerodynamic that way... it makes sense its just not pretty

Rendon LX-i
03-07-2010, 06:32 PM
Lol no I did that but I had to just cut it out. Looked stupid what it does is reduced draft meaning what ever air gets trapped in that area is basicly let out .

charliekuney
03-07-2010, 07:07 PM
Alright, I learned aerodynamics in science and this is what you guys need to know: Air does get "trapped" in front of the rear bumper, but it doesn't hold the car back. It creates a sort of box that lets air slide below it, creating the least resistance (think of a truck with no canopy driving with its tailgate up). These holes now make the trapped air flow, and it tries to flow through several small holes causing more drag than the first place. When you run with a cardboard box with one small hole in it (let's say pop can sized), what happens? All of the air that was originally sliding to the sides of the box is now trying to "fight" to get into the hole (ha). See what I mean?

lmao rotas are knock offs!

but to dat88monstar Rotas are nicer quality knock offs than Drags. Dont spend the extra money on "Real" wheels unless you plan on a Epic build. Otherwise it really isnt worth it. Even now I regret spending $860 on some rota's.
