Guys,

The new Accord sat overnight in the extreme cold, and when I started it up today it had a very slight tapping. Only happened when reving or holding engine speed, not when decelerating. The noise went away once it ran for a few minutes.

I know these don't have lifters like the G1 Legend does, so should I be worried? Could the valves just be off?

Tapping under load might come from the rod bearings.

What oil weight do you use?

I'm not sure what oil weight it is, I just bought the car two days ago.
I do know that the tapping goes away once the engine is warmed up.

10w40 is about all these motors can stand in cold (below 32) weather. Make sure to let the car run a few minutes before it sees any load or rpm. I would not rev it past 3 grand until it is fully warmed up.

You might also look at replacing your oil pump this might help the low oil pressure at idle.
