So, sometimes my car will just be sittin there and the idle goes up to about 2k and drops to about 1.4k and just goes back and fourth rapidly almost like its trying to revv itself i have no clue what the problem is.
any ideas??
I'm currently having the same problem, I'm going to adjust my Idle screw again and if that fixs it i'll let you know.
Okay I fixed my issue, So here is how you do it.
1. Start your car.
2. Listen to your idle for a little while.
3. You will need to disconnect the power from the IAC, *it will be a cable right behind your intake, it actually hooks in to the intake manifold*
4. After doing so, Adjust the Idle screw, *it will be a flat head screw right above your throttle body I believe.*
5. Adjust it till your idle is about 50+ above what you want.
6. Plug the cable back in, and let the car run for like 2-5 minutes.
7. Turn off car and restart. Should be fine.
Hope this helps you out a bit, If you need more I'll try and get pictures later.

You will need a priest and a lot of holy water to fix this problem.
...Or you could just search...

what is the iacv
Idle Air Control Valve. Mine tore open and caused my car to have the same problem (and overheat, too), except since my car idles really low, my car jumped from 600rpm-1700rpm.

Same problem as my car. Does it overheat after a few minutes?
