I was wondering if anyone else has had to do this? I need to replace my brake master cylinder. Just from looking at it, it seems like it's gonna be a bitch to get to. All the carb stuff seems to be in the way. Any suggestions/advice before I tackle this repair?

I did mine. Get the right wrench for the Master Cylinder lines, the fittings round off easily. Remove the air cleaner and it's related fittings, remove the fuel line at the filter to make a little more access room. Bench bleed the Master Cylinder and keep fluid in the reservoir while you reattach the fittings to the new cylinder. Bleed the brakes and check the brakes before you drive it..... I don't like using rebuilt master cylinders, they seem failure prone. Get a new one if you can. It's not difficult. Good luck
