hahaha! well you just going to be a jackass or give so useful advise on the turbo. if not then shut up know needs to hear from you. and for noobs go play x-box then dip, because i have probably be working on cars a lot longer then you. so is there any ADVICE ON THE TURBO

cubert

Well..maybe if we had more info than "is this turbo good?", people could give an intelligent, accurate response. Right now, its like youre asking if blue is the best color ever.

Are you looking to build a drag strip monster, a DD with some extra power? Is it even for the Accord? Nobody else on here has the slightest clue, so until you provide some information on what your goals are, expect the smartass comments.

But hey, you may have better luck if you continue with the name calling

What does working on cars have anything to do with this thread? If you have been wrenching on cars oh so long, shouldn't you not need all this great advice that we can provide you with?

But to provide some advice:

It's a chinese 'knockoff' turbo.

I wouldn't put it on anything I owned...

Chinese bs...i had to rebuild mine arleady once....i cant wait to get my Hx40......Stay away from garbage....SO wheres the rest of the setup.....Just a turbo is not going to cut it son.

^You're doing hx40?

Wouldn't hx35 or hy35 actually spool?

Rendon LX-i
01-04-2010, 06:24 PM
what ever i can get my hands on. if a d series can spool a hx40 then a a20 can LOL. This is for my new setup thou. BUT ill try it anyways once i get it. I might do a side exit exhaust with a magnaflow muffler 40 series or idk. BUT my mind is open right now. Prolly get a hx35. the hx40 is a huge bitch....

What you think? Holset HY35/HE341/HE351 turbochargers are about the size of a Garrett TO4e-50 trim compressor with a stage III turbine wheel and a .63 turbine housing. SO i had a T043e and im fully spooled at 4,000rpm.

SORRY for thread jacking but alex asked i answered.

hx40 is too big unless your going for like 600hp. Id soo take an HY35 or HX35 over a garrett 50 trim... How much power to you want to make?

my goal with the new setup. starting goal 400

hy35 or hx35 would be fine. Probably better efficiency than garrett 50 trim too, prolly best off with hy35 for what you want to do.

86AccordLxi
01-04-2010, 08:17 PM
Yup, HY35 has the 9cm housing which is probably your best bet for an a20.

I've ridden in an hx35 sr20 and it's laaggggy. And an SR actually flows -- wouldn't want one on an a20.
