lately this has been happening to me thanks to the cold weather and its hard t explain so bear with me. in the morning after a cold night i pump the gas like your supposed to and turn the key and as long as i keep the starter running the engine it will run fine or if it starts and as soon as it does i stop cranking and hit the gas it will revv up then die and it will do this 4 or 5 times till the point where my battery is almost dead then it will start choke and un choke fine. also my car never reaches operating temp. so even if i drive for hours turn off the car and come back like 5 or 10 mins later my car has to heat up. also after a short amount of time like described in the owners manual i will have to hold the throttle half down about or the car will not start it will act like previously described. what could be the problem??

do you have enough coolant/antifreeze in your radiator?

Other then that check your heater hose to the carb air box and make sure the hot air door diaphragm is working.
