I have a 3rd gen Accord ('88) and I'm about to pull the transmission out for a rebuild and I was wondering if there is any company out there that makes a Limited Slip Differential for that tranny? Any advise here would be great. Thanx

nobody makes a true LSD for these transmissions. There are guys around using Phantom Grip type devices, which seem to work better than nothing, but at the cost of increased transmission/diff wear

Try this it seems to look good.http://opmrace.opmautosports.com/products.html
It seems to me someone fit a teg lsd in the a20 t-case.
there's nothing wrong with my phantom grip! :P

Thanks for the input guys. I didn't think anyone out there made a true LSD for the a20. Thanks hammer3rd for the link u posted. I'm going to give them a call and find out whether or not they make an LSD for my '88 accord. I'll let everyone know if they do.
As far as the Phantom Grip goes; it does work surprising well from what I here, but the problem is it lacks clutches which is y it is not a true LSD and why it prematurely wears out the diff housing. And why I'd NEVER use it!

I have already spoke to them and they do make one for our cars. I is in the 700.00 price range.
Hey 89T. Does your lsd work good. And how much are they. Always looking for new ideas.

can you not use a b series one in an a series box?
I like mine, and if i remember right it is around the $300 price range.
I am not experiencing any popping or knocking like a bunch of people report. I will say my tires like to spin around corners if i am not careful though.
As far as the b series LSD, i read somewhere that it does work but i don't know the details.

im guessing you mean the viscous type b16 lsd from a cable box?
you can make an ITR LSD fit a b16 box by grinding some metal i suppose its the same with the a series box? cause if i want a LSD i dont want a viscous shitbox

a viscous lsd is good for a daily driver/fun car but if you plan on doing the 1/4 or track work you cant go past a plate type lsd.
a viscous lsd will never completely lock the diff like a plate type and they can only take so much power before you overcome the silicon liquid inside them and they become no more than an expensive open diff
