Spent a day trying to break that crank bolt loose. Tried two guns, both craftsman, didn't work. Tried breaker bars, didn't work (cheap extensions) went to harbor freight bought the 1/2" Earthquake drive took 5 seconds. Only 75 bucks with the 15% coupon i had. Awesome, now will see how long this gun lasts, lol.

I have a 5 year old Earthquake and to this day it's still the best money spent.

ah, is this Earthquake some sort of monster air wrench?

The earthquake is an impact gun rated at max 625 lbs, but i think it says something on the box llike 250 to 400 typically, i dont know how to read torque guns too well, i just know it took of my crank bolt as easy as cutting warm butter

I think mine is somewhere around 10 years old now and still works great. The only thing I've found is that air supply is critical to these. If you have a small compressor and a long and/or narrow hose, it won't put out near the power.

also depends on the inlet opening of the air chuck used, always used the larger diameter on the impact tools and my SATA HVLP guns. Makes a huge difference, I think we had one of those impact guns hanging around for over a decade now, just use marvel oil or 3n1 and it will last until failure
