Any performance gains expected after removing the black box and the vacumm mess. I have searched and read how its done but not enough info on performance gains.

None apparent. Can't imagine there's more than a miniscule difference, if any.

I think with carbs is what they are talking about mostly. I cant see messing with the "black box" other than hiding it. The map sensor is in there and its needed for the FI to work.

We have a excellant FI setup for the year of our car and a very good set up compared to other cars.

PGM-FI is the "Honda Brand" of fuel injection. MPFI refers to Multi Point Fuel Injection, which is a type where fuel is injected at multiple locations (each runner). It's more of a generic term. PGM-FI can be dual point, or multi point. They're both still "Programmed Fuel Injection" as Honda calls it.

How do you convert the black box to obd1?

You don't. For your car to be obd1, you get a obd1 ecu & make your car run off that
