Alright well im having a LOT of trouble finding a hitch locally for the accord.

I did however find one for a 90-93 accord, and was wondering if anyone thinks it might work. Anyone know the measurements between the rear of the 90-93 accord frame and the 86-89 accord frame. The 90-93 hitch part is part #24639 and is a Drawtie.

If you dont mind just measure from outside to outside of the rear frame rails where the bumper bolts usually are. Thats really the only dimension I need. :)

Mushroom, if you've got an auto tranny be careful about pulling too much or too fast or too long or too hilly. You might consider a trans cooler. I think these cars are only rated for 1,000 lbs.

I use my local parts store which is Slacks auto part....that just the towns name this is the buyer..but our local store kept all the same part, store names etc. Ive never gotten a bad part from slacks, and theyre always cheaper/better quality. Just bought a raybestos master cylinder for Sei from them for $58 after tax, brand new not a refurb and no core charge.

I just made one that bolts through the steel rear bumper, remember it has a steel beam in back, with steel brackets, bolted directly to the rear subframe with four large steel bolts. that plastic cover just covers it up. the rear bumper is pretty substantial for a Honda.
