I just joined today and I will be picking up a 1983 Hatchback on Tuesday for $300.

It was sitting for almost a year and the carbs are gummed up (floats stuck, I think). I may just do a complete engine rebuild for fun (or necessity).

In your opinion, is it better to do a carb rebuild or get a Weber 32/36 conversion kit like I did on my Civic CVCC?

If the Weber or whatever other kit is a better option, does anyone have a line on where to get one?

If you can get the weber and are used to setting them up, I'd totally go that route. 2ndgenguy and roodoo2 are kind of the resident weber guys here, to name a few.

It's really a shame though because up here in Canada, the 82 Accord manual choke non-CVCC carb is really simple and functional. Makes a great swap for the vacuum deranged '83 carbs.

Should I have put this in the "Mechanical" section?
