Hey guys and gals,
I just picked up a blue 1988 Honda Accord DX 5-speed. I'm coming from a stage 2.5 2008 Subaru Legacy Spec B which I did all the work on myself. I sold it in order to get my wife a newer and safer car.
Here's what my Legacy looked like:

I'll get a photo of the Accord up once the weather up here is nicer.

I need to have a DD so her uncle gave me his prized car. He really loved this thing. Its got 175k miles on it and is in immaculate condition. It needs a little work, like brakes, possibly a new clutch, its still the original.
Right now I'm getting a very loud squeal, thinking a belt needs to be tightened. Looking forward to finding out as much as I can about this car, its my first Honda.

Welcome aboard, at 175,000 it is just about broke in. Yes a new clutch is a good idea. I prefer LUK 08-008 low cost and good quality. Just remembr to replace the throw out spring as well.

Yes, do snug the belts alittle, check for glazing.

At some point in time you might consider a Webber conversion, there is alot of info on this.

This is a great DD. Reliable over anything I've ever driven (I'm 46)

Dammit, that's the cleanest Legacy I've seen to date. I'm been nagging at my parents to either get an H6, GT or Outback sedan.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome guys! Yeah, my goal for my Legacy was to keep it clean. I miss it a lot, but I guess thats what happens when you get married and want to have a family...lol....

Here's a video of it being dynotuned:
