hi all ,
I'm Adrian from Jerusalem , Israel.
I'm thinking of buying me this project car , it's an 1986 Accord Hatchback.
plese tell me what you guys think of it and about the engine it has.
the engine sounds exelent (12V engine), but it's kind of lazy .. when I kick down it .. well.. nothing really happens..
the steering is much to easy to turn , it's missing the original rear right window (triangular one) , it's automatic and it shivers when in gear with engine running but car is standing.
it has 13 inch wheels.
what is the fuel consumption?

other than that it's ok..

thanks,
Adrian.

Well me myself i love the cars mine is a 89 lxi that im rebuilding. I guess it jus depends on ir you really want it on not. If you just looking for a car to drive its good But on the other hand if your looking for performance you will spend some dollars because there isnt much out there for it unless you get custom parts an that can get expensive.

I love its 80's design. it's comfortable. and here in israel it's the only Accord that is pre 1992.

Welcome here :D and get this Accord.

About shaking, I had idle issues also, I simply took off that Idle valve and cleaned it. shaking went. and idle jump as well.

you can run it on 95, i do.

Remember, You'll get what you paid for. those sleves for under 30$ is garbage.
Better go with regular setup, like Tokico's or KYB shocks with normal lowering springs. A good coilover setup from K-sport will sett you back with 800-900$

Strut tower bars are rare now for our cars, so either we make them self or someone make it for us. but its possible to adapt some aftermarket with custom braces.

Good luck

I've searched the forum with no luck.

thanks,
Adrian.
