Just got it tonight and its more motivating to be able to bolt up my turbo again (don't mind the tie wraps it was readily available). Similar to my ludespeed but a better log design, proper wastegate placement and better turbo placement.

Slowely but surely I will get it done. Its been a long time in the making and I am glad I never sold out. Now i need a new turbo, Hondata S300, 3" downpipe, tuning, and some misc things to get it back running.

I plan to drop the block off in a week or two I just wanted the cash in hand so I don't finance any of my projects. I have bought a lot of things over the past few months not engine related so i slowed the process down a little.

If you dont mind me asking rob whats the cost on that puppy and what are the chances he can replicate it without yours being present? On mine and Im sure on yours, is there really enough room out the back for the wastegate? Looks great. Im really going to need to learn the art of ninja theft. 1st your place then off to carotmans house. Im loving that thing.

Im sure he can replicate it no problem it was $350 shipped but i did provide the head flange. I have another stainless head flange already made.

Oh and i modified my ludespeed manifold to have the wastegate on top but it has to be placed as low as possible to clear the hood. This manifold is a standard off the shelf design which the wg might hit the radiator which i planned for. I did measure it up last night and its going to be close but i planned to make a 90 degree elbow to turn the wg sideways. And turbo is close but will clear if you stick with a smaller frame turbo like my T3 Super 60.

Loving it! What car is that intake manifold off of? Did you have to modify it to fit?

I have a friend that has been around the industry and he knows a local shop that can handle it. I had one other lined up if not use the one that built yours as i know their work is great.

That is my turbo block with a spare head and a million other pieces cluttering my bench. If you look you can see my traction bar powder coated black.

The intake is for a B-series and it does need modification. If i recall the top holes lined up but the bottom needed to be re-drilled. And some cutting to make it work right. I considered having a intake flange made to adapt to that manifold and be tig welded but the injectors will be a headache. Plus it works fine just not a clean fit as the manifold is not flat where you need to drill. I did buy a special bit from eastwood and cleaned it up nicely.

Things are moving forward and thanks for the comments its taken a long time to get back into this project.

Its all complete if anyone wants one they can contact John@explicit i have not tried the finished product out as i wanted to put it on a new chassis. Keep in mind the front is a stabilizer not a mount so you are on your own to work that out. I plan on making a weld on mount for my B20A to be used with a Innovative tranny mount. But it is a nice product and i can only praise John for being so easy to work with.

He does do engine mounts and i have considered having him re-work some of the stock mounts but i have a lot going on to tend to.

LOL Don't give me bad luck thus far it has not had a good run. But i was also learning and could have paid someone to build the entire thing but i like to do as much as possible myself. There is a prelude that has been boosting with good results with a very similar build so i am confident mine can be as well. The last motor would have been fine i bet if the piston rings were not a issue. It ran solid but i beat the crap out of it knowing i would have to rebuild it and thats when my boost controller failed and blew it up.

I am excited but over whelmed as i have a huge stock pile of parts but no chassis to start building. But i still want to do finish my machine work before i buy a chassis so i can use the down time to get it all back together.

Looks great. You think you'll get it running and make it to NC in a couple months?

Not a chance i would not even attempt that because i don't want to make any mistakes. I was hoping to have a chassis by then and i was going to start to load it up with all my parts but thats not looking likely. I was doing well buying parts but i bought my work van and i starting to fit that out with equipment so the build has slowed down a bit. But i am ambitious to get the turbo built and running this summer in my current chassis and swap it all over later.
