That's fucking awesome dude! Love seeing the Accord out on the race track running with the "big boys" like Porsches and shit. I bet that was fun as hell!

wel your gonna love the pic ill post tonight. it s a pic of me passing a Ferrari 360 145,000$ car on the front straight. (poor guy wouldnt go over 60...lol) I will also try and get some other vids posted up from a different camera, you can hear the A20 roaring a good 6500rpms as i pass at the top of 3rd gear.

Running with the "Big dogs" is where I want to be and where I will be on a competitive level within a year.

As for fun... THere isnt anything like a 3g on a track. Honestly I wish my FC handled as good as my 3g. Acceleration points as so different for the FWD platform. ramping into full acceleration after the turn in before the apex is gut wrenching.

The car still has a bunch of work to do before competiion ready but its oh so close.

Awesome! car build details... brakes/pads, suspension etc?

well right now the car is pretty much stock trim. Quickly being transformed into a legal track car. some things still have to be done. IE rollcage, seats and safety harness.

engine transmission:
stock internals full emissions etc.
I built the engine in 2003 and has 70k on it. Very hard driven miles 6k+ on a daily basis
stock fuel delivery
265cc fuel injectors
precision balanced rotateing assembly
-.010 deck height
shaved head
milled 4lbs off stock flywheel.
transmission = stock
currently after the brake upgrade this is my biggest problem power so....

Tires / wheels
Rota RB 15x8 -35mm offset
225/45/15 Hancook Ventus Rs3 (fucking awesome tire)

http://img682.imageshack.us/img682/7300/dscf0113ey.jpg (http://img682.imageshack.us/i/dscf0113ey.jpg/)

Brakes:
all stock brake system front
rear converted to disc
(this is a major weak link in my setup)
thankfully 1200$ with Brian at fastbrakes will get me a solution in 2 -3 weeks - we have been working on a solution for the brakeing problem for 9 weeks and now I have something coming my way that will work with my rim combination. all i can say for the time being is 2 piece rotor at 11.75'' with a Wilwood 4 pot NDL caliper.

I am currently exploreing a vented rear rotor solution with maybe a 2 pot caliper. all in beta for now.

suspension: (second weak link not as major as the brakes)
my first setup which ran great at these HPDE events last year.
weapon r coilovers for a 97 honda crv 350lb front 220 rear
tokiko blue shocks -here in lies the problem. tokiko blues suck if your using factory valveing. after 2 events i will blow one or both front shocks oil will bleed everywhere.

I am currently working with SELEX Suspension in Canada to design a monotube full race full body coilover system. right now me and the engineers have decided on 10kg springs front and 8kg rear, comboned with there AVS system shock inserts. Its not final as i have to weigh my car with the new engine. which sadly isnt an a20.

and for the moment full of all that is EPIC WIN!!!

http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/4598/548y.jpg (http://img709.imageshack.us/i/548y.jpg/)

I was in the middle of that pack on corner exit 15. I had been pushing that porsche and ferrari for a lap or so. so once i passed the porsche the straight before i started pushing that Ferrari 360 150,000$ supercar out of my way.....LOL. I got an instant waveby after hanging less than 2 fott off his rear in 3 turns.

I always loved my 3g and iive always wanted to take it to the next level. and here it is. I am building this car for complete wheel to wheel competition. at that endurance racing. This project has taken this car form street trim to track only. and requires ALOT of custom one off parts. Everything is being built for the end goal of running competitively with gt type cars. with my new transplant of 500 turbp hp i should have no problem doing so. Its not cheap. but its so full of win!

My only wish at this point is if I had another 3 g to chase.

Yeah, you do. Chasing down $100,000+ cars with something you have a few grand into is the DEFINITION of a grassroots effort. I'm guessing you have what, $15,000 in the car, somewhere around there?

Man that's awesome. Great to see another real build going on here! This should be inspiration for the people who keep whining about not enough parts for their cars. Just put your mind to it, and you can build one badass machine. This man knows what's up!

new engine transplant has 7.5k tied in it alone with a final budjet of whatever it takes to finish it...lol (this engine has been built over the last 5 years, literally piece by piece)

the shell itself has well over 13 k tied into it. but thats because i keep every recipt from every time i changed the tail lights :) its also spread out across 8 years since i had the car.

Thanks for the support guys, you dont have to have a big paycheck to play with the big gys. but it does talk a little money over a long time period.

The car is only as fast as the driver.

First problem he was scared to wreck his 150k car.
second problem dont bring a car on the track that you cant affford to fix.

I dont have lap times right off the bat. all lap logging equipment has to be off due to insurance reasons. This was an HPDE event you could drive a golf cart on the track, or whatever. But as soon as you start recording lap times insurance calls it a race.

However I have some consecutive lap footage on the camera doing the filming and it is possible to come up with an estimate that way.
