I have noticed that my car seems to have some sort of an idling problem some times it does it sitting still other times it does it when I take my foot off the pedal while driving it will start bumping up an down 3-400 rpms it will go up then down then up then down again Does anyone have any idea what this could be.there is no code popping up.its a fuel injected engine.

The other question is about torque converter lock-up.I have been trying to get my cable adjusted back correctly for awhile now and im getting close but dont think im quite there yet. When driving down interstate I cna feel it lock up its almost like another gear.but have noticed I have to push pedal down about a quarter of an inck to get it to lock up an I dont think this is right the torque converter should lock up with little prssure on gas pedal
(is this correct?)Because way it is now I have to keep pedal mashed in pretty good an before I know it im running like 80 an climbing I where it is now I cant get it to lock up an maintain a consitent speed.
Let me know if you think I am right in thinking it still needs adjustment or not.

Your idle issue is a pretty classic vacuum leak symptom. You might also be low on coolant. I think you've adjusted your TV cable waaaayy too aggressively. It shouldn't be doing that at highway speeds. You might also check your throttle position sensor to make sure it's working properly.

^^^ Scratch all that. Fix your speed sensor.

speed sensor was broken where the one bolt goes in to hold it in place.I still had three other sensors so I made one good one.I must have broken it putting in tranny I do recall It got bumpd a couple of times on the way up. ;)

Also got cable adjusted real nice.Torque converter now locks up as it should.shifting gears better as well.(manual you sent me workd out great thx alot.

Sweet! I noticed that Russian manual kinda fails when it comes to California smog stuff. Lucky you have a '89.
