Well took the coupe to the local auto-x today. I must say I was fairly impressed. Took first in Mens Novice (15 people) with a fast time of 47 seconds. To put it in perspective the fast time of the day was 46. I'll post pics in a little.

No they're 02 Si wheels, I dont like fit wheels IMO.

They look the same to me:

Do you have any pictures with the Si's before they were painted, or did they come along otherwise?

I did... I had the hatch sitting with a bad clutch/brakes and in that time we had a really bad wind storm and it blew a truck canopy into the side of the hatchie and wasted it. I started trying to fix it then realized it was a lost cause so I was going to part it then I fount the coupe for 300 with a rod knock. next thing I know all the hatch suspension, motor trans and what have you found it's way to the coupe. So here I am again...:dunno:

Nice work. Car looks good out there, it's a very clean ride. Is that an eBay steering wheel? I had one of those in the Festiva, and it seemed a bit floppy. Is yours the same way? It looks identical.

Similar-same, not identical-same. Yeah, the dots look a little ricey.

unfortunatly yes. The wheel I had in my hatch got ruined due to moisture, and the one that was in the coupe was bad too. So I had to get something quick. I plan on getting a momo mod 78 wheel soon.

i was gonna comment on the wheel also, i hate those wheels so much, i had one for a short time and got rid of it. i made the mistake of having a real momo wheel first then using an ebay one and it just didn't compare. i have a 78cvcc wheel in my car now and i love it. for autocross though i think i'd like something a bit smaller in diameter.

great times though, was it a toss up between the vette and the bmw for slowest times? please tell me it was!

Vettes are pretty fast at autocross, believe it or not. I've autocrossed one and it was a hell of a car. Just gotta turn off all that TCS bullshit. Having gobs of torque and huge ass tires is pretty epic.

stat1K
04-12-2010, 03:53 PM
well considering that vette was no where NEAR TCS by about 20 years lol i'd say that one didn't come equipped. i'm talking about a 400hp 4000lb car lol...

Oh man I'm retarded. I just saw Vette on the topic of autocross and assumed C5 or C6. Even though I had already looked at the pictures. You'll have to excuse me, it's been a long day...

I think so, it obviously didn't hurt. But all my reading and research, and personal preference led me to where I have it set. I ordered a addco rear swaybar to replace my Suspension Technique one to hopefully get a little more oversteer. I'm also in the process of getting poly bushings, and what not figured out.
